Something to Howl About: An Alphaville Story is a howling good read!! The characters and storyline are very well-developed. Jonas has brought Dr. Annie in to help him with the  low birth rate of his clan. Annie recognizes Jonas as her true mate, but Jonas denies that brown bears(grizzlies) don’t have true mates. Annie tells him that is complete bull, and that all shifters recognizes their true mate. Annie was banished from her pack by her alpha, for something she did. She has been traveling all over helping and researching where ever she was needed. She gets a call from Graham; her Alpha; telling her that her banishment is over and that she can come home. This is such a well written book with lots of humor.I recommend this book and the series to everyone. I give SOMETHING TO HOWL ABOUT 5/ 5 STARS.

I have really enjoyed this series. The characters and story line a very well-developed. Jayce is a Phoenix and part of the Boston Fire Department. Kristine is a Dragon and part of the New York Fire Department. They meet at a funeral of a fallen Fire fighter. Since Jayce has met Kristine, he has had her on his mind since. This book has humor, action and extreme sexiness. Ashlyn has has become one of my go to Authors and I love her work. I recommend this book and the rest of the series. Excerpts FLAME IN THE DARK – Part Seven

As a probationary agent, I wasn’t supposed to miss meetings, so I tossed some of my homemade granola into a plastic sealable bag and grabbed a carton of milk—which had horrified my mama the last time she was here. Good churchgoers drank only milk they took fresh out of the cow or goat, but I didn’t have time to care for animals or barter for essentials, so packaged and processed foods had entered my diet.

I was out the door roaring down the mountain in my Chevy pickup in minutes and was only a bit late to the meeting, even without turning on the new lights and siren mounted inside the cab and up on the roof. Rick had barely introduced the case, and was giving a summary of the particulars, when I thrust myself into my chair.

“Thank you for joining us, probie,” Rick said.

I didn’t much like apologizing for things I didn’t do on purpose. Traffic and sleeping and horrible work hours seemed a good reasons to be late, but I wouldn’t say that unless pushed. And telling him I was late because I had to clip my leaves seemed . . . unnecessarily comedic. I held in a grin and nodded.

“Something amusing to you, probie?” he asked.

“Not a thing. You’uns was sayin’? ‘’Acause I’m a listenin’ with all my ears,” I said in church -speak.

T. Laine coughed into her hand, covering an aggressive jaw, as if trying to hide a laugh. She said, “Our Nell’s learned snark.” Her dark eyes sparkled, a sure sign I was going to bear the brunt of her wicked sense of humor.

THE BRIGHTEST FELL BY SEANAN McGUIRE

New York Times-bestselling October Daye faerie series • Hugo Award-winning author Seanan McGuire • “Top of my urban-paranormal series list!” —Felicia Day

Contains an original bonus novella, Of Things Unknown!

Things are slow, and October “Toby” Daye couldn’t be happier about that. The elf-shot cure has been approved, Arden Windermere is settling into her position as Queen in the Mists, and Toby doesn’t have anything demanding her attention except for wedding planning and spending time with her family.

Maybe she should have realized that it was too good to last.

When Toby’s mother, Amandine, appears on her doorstep with a demand for help, refusing her seems like the right thing to do…until Amandine starts taking hostages, and everything changes. Now Toby doesn’t have a choice about whether or not she does as her mother asks. Not with Jazz and Tybalt’s lives hanging in the balance. But who could possibly help her find a pureblood she’s never met, one who’s been missing for over a hundred years?

Enter Simon Torquill, elf-shot enemy turned awakened, uneasy ally. Together, the two of them must try to solve one of the greatest mysteries in the Mists: what happened to Amandine’s oldest daughter, August, who disappeared in 1906.

This is one missing person case Toby can’t afford to get wrong.

Toby can never catch a break! Thinking that she can have a vacation, she is having some down time with May and a few others at a karaoke bar. Will the torture never end? She gets home and her Mom, Amandine,  shows up and takes her Fiancee, The King of Cats. Toby must find her sister to get her sister back. Did I hear that right? A sister? Yes, you heard right. This was exactly what Toby was thinking, and why no one told her. So in true Toby fashion, anything that could go wrong, does go wrong. I love how Toby and the other characters are always evolving from one book to the next. I recommend this book and series to everyone. I give The Brightest Fell (October Daye) 5/5 stars.
