BURN BRIGHT – REVIEW

burn bright cover
In her bestselling Alpha and Omega series, Patricia Briggs “spins tales of werewolves, coyote shifters, and magic and, my, does she do it well” (USATODAY.com). Now mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham face a threat like no other–one that lurks too close to home…

They are the wild and the broken. The werewolves too damaged to live safely among their own kind. For their own good, they have been exiled to the outskirts of Aspen Creek, Montana. Close enough to the Marrok’s pack to have its support; far enough away to not cause any harm.

With their Alpha out of the country, Charles and Anna are on call when an SOS comes in from the fae mate of one such wildling. Heading into the mountainous wilderness, they interrupt the abduction of the wolf–but can’t stop blood from being shed. Now Charles and Anna must use their skills–his as enforcer, hers as peacemaker–to track down the attackers, reopening a painful chapter in the past that springs from the darkest magic of the witchborn…

I love Charles and Anna!! When the wildings are in trouble, Anna and Charles must find out who is hunting them. The wildings are wolves who are too dangerous or damaged to be with the Marrock pack. There is one willing to betray the pack! This book will captivate you and keep you reading until the very end.  I could not put this book down. I always love the world building and character interactions. I recommend this book and series to everyone! I give Burn Bright (Alpha and Omega) 5/5 stars.

Silence Fallen (A Mercy Thompson Novel) will have you wanting more Mercy and Adam! Mercy and the grange are having a not so quiet evening at home playing swashbuckling video games. What could possibly go wrong? Everything can with Mercy! It is like she is a magnet pulling trouble to her. She is in the kitchen making cookies for the pirates in the other room, when she has to go to the store to get eggs. As she is leaving the convince store parking lot she is kidnapped from her car after it is hit. Adam and the rest of the pack is alerted to Mercy being in trouble by the pack bond. They rush to where she was, to find out they were too late. To make matters worse, the kidnappers have taken Mercy overseas. She can’t rely on the pack bond, because she is too far for Adam and her to make a connection. Now she has to rely on herself and strangers in a strange land with no money, phone or computer. Just what she was taken in.

This sets up a whole new type of trouble for Mercy! Poor Adam is going out of his mind trying to locate her. All in all, it is a great read. I recommend this book to everyone. If you have not started this series, what is wrong with you? Seriously, you will enjoy them!! I give Silence Fallen 5/5 stars!!! Now *twiddling thumbs* the wait begins until the next book.

I was given  a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

I have been anticipating FIRE TOUCHED, since I finished NIGHT BROKEN. This book did  not disappoint.  It has action, humor, and lots of Mercy. Patricia Briggs’ character development and world building is awesome. When one of the children of Underhill escape, they must make a bargain with the Fae before they declare war on Mercy’s home town. Aiden is one of the children of Underhill, but when you are in Underhill you will be changed. Aiden is Fire Touched. He is unable to control his fire, and when his emotions are running high, things tend to go up in flame. He is basically an Adult in a child’s body. As usual with Mercy, things have a tendency to go from bad to worse. I love the Mercy universe! If you have not read this series, then I urge you to start  reading it today.  I give FIRE TOUCHED 5/5 STARS.You will be laughing from the first page. Now I have to wait patiently for the next book. Oh, the AGONY!!
