The Weird Girls return in another edge-of-your-seat novel from Cecy Robson! Just when Celia thinks the supernatural world can’t turn deadlier, a new rival emerges, proving just how dangerous a power-hungry were can be.

Since being cursed with unique abilities, Celia Wird and her three sisters have fought the most bloodthirsty preternaturals in the Lake Tahoe region. But Celia’s greatest threat is someone she would have never suspected: Anara, a werewolf Elder who has allowed his hatred for Celia to spiral out of control. In a play for dominance, Anara tortures Celia and gives her an ultimatum: sever her mate bond with pureblood were Aric—or Anara will kill everyone she loves.

From the instant they met, Celia and Aric have shared an attraction that cannot be tamed. So keeping Aric away is impossible, and Aric would sooner die than allow anyone to hurt the woman he loves. Misha, master vampire and Celia’s sworn protector, also finds his way into the chaos, seeking blood from those who have harmed her.

Now Celia and her sisters are caught in the middle of a war driven by lust, fueled by hatred, and destined to end in tragedy. For Anara is a force to be reckoned with, and he will not succumb without robbing Celia of those who hold her heart.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

Where do I start on this book. There was so much action going on that it literally had me on the edge of my seat. A CURSED BLOODLINE is a great installment to this series. Celia is happy that she is now with Aric, and carrying his child. That is all about to change. Anara part of the alliance has warned Celia to break her bond with Aric or he will kill him and everyone she holds dear to her heart. She agrees and everywhere she turns Aric is there. When Misha is taken and she is now in charge of his vampires and all his businesses, she goes to the Alliance for their help in getting him back. Anara refuses and she goes to El Salvador herself with some of the vampires. They rescue him and the witch who held him escapes.  When Aric finds out that Anara was behind Celia breaking their mate bond, he tries to kill him. Anara escapes and joins the enemy, the Tribe. During this fight Aric goes moon crazy and Celia is the only one who can save him, because everyone else wants to kill him. This is such a great story, with well-developed characters and storyline. I cannot wait to see what Cecy Robson has in store for us next.  A CURSED BLOODLINE has so much action in it that you will not be bored with this book. I give it 5/5 stars.

If you have not read any books in this series, I urge you to do so. You will not be disappointed. Outstanding writing for a great series.

Book Description

         Publication Date:         January 7, 2014
Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other 20-something girls—with one tiny exception: they’re products of a backfired curse that has given each of them unique powers that make them, well, weird…
Celia’s a girl in trouble.  Her heart is bound to Aric, but he is a pure blood were who must deny her or risk condemning his species to extinction.  And that’s just her love life. She’s also been called to take down a group of demon terrorists looking to overthrow the paranormal world. (No pressure.)
In order to bring them down, Celia must ally herself to Misha, the master vampire who has made no secret of his desire for her.
And if that weren’t enough misfortune for one girl, a clairvoyant’s prediction could destroy Celia and Aric’s love for good. The only way to protect the world from unbridled supernatural terrorism is for Celia to bind herself to her destined mate. And that doesn’t appear to be Aric…

Cursed By Destiny is packed with a lot of action and humor. It will make you laugh and cry, with the sisters and everything that happens to them. It is very well written with well-developed characters and story line. Celia Wird is now living with Misha in his vampire compound after Aric decided to follow the orders to take a pure blood as his wife to help replenish the WERE population. Celia’s training with Misha’s bodyguards and others that protect him has made her a better fighter.  She also has to keep her guard up, because Misha keeps trying to get her into his bed.  She continues to go on missions to try to eradicate the Tribesmen, but now they now her name and they are coming for her.
When she is at her sister’s birthday party, one of the Tribesmen comes looking for her and the fight begins. Now they have to find out how the Tribesmen now her name and remove the threat. She is then poisoned at Misha’s , to where she is really possessive about Aric and if she can not have him then she does not want to live. They have to rid her body of the poison before she harms herself more. Then The vampire compound is attacked and Misha is severely wounded and is about to die, Celia tells him to drink from her. When he does he almost drains her. This invokes the marriage bond between them. So now Celia and Misha are now married. This part of the book has some funny parts in it, with her and Misha fighting about it. There is some other parts in the book that are really good, along with a special surprise at the end that will have you either jumping up and down or saying oh shit! All in all this is a great book and I give Cursed By Destiny 5/5 stars.

“A CURSED EMBRACE” BY CECY ROBSON BOOK REVIEW

BOOK REVIEW COURTESY OF AMAZON

Cecy Robson has a winner with this series. This plot line is amusing , fresh, with kick  butt characters. I love that the Wird sisters have a smart-aleck sharp wit and a close relationship. They will not hesitate to take out someone who has hurt one of their sisters without even batten an eye. I was all for Celia and Aric to get together, but if he is not willing to give up some of the old ways of the pack for the woman he loves( his mate) then he does not deserve Celia. By the end of this book I was thinking of Aric as a total Ass.  I know that he was thinking only about the packs well-being after everything that had happened, but still he should not had to sacrifice Celia and his future together.

I am glad that Celia decided to go with Misha and take him up on his offer. This book will have you laughing, crying, and flat-out yelling at the characters what an ass they are, but in the end you will be wanting more. I give this book a 5/ 5 stars.
