When the Master of the city of New Orleans asks Jane to improve security for a future visit from a delegation of European vampires, she names an exorbitant price—and Leo is willing to pay. That’s because the European vamps want Leo’s territory, and he knows that he needs Jane to prevent a total bloodbath. Leo, however, doesn’t mention how this new job will change Jane’s life or the danger it will bring her and her team.
Jane has more to worry about than some greedy vampires. There’s a vicious creature stalking the streets of New Orleans, and its agenda seems to be ripping Leo and her to pieces. Now Jane just has to figure out how to kill something she can’t even see….

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.
BROKEN SOUL will leave you on the edge of your seat. Jane is in deep with vampire politics and somebody wanting to kill her, she also has to get everything ready for the European Mithrans coming to town. While taking lessons on swordsmanship, Vamp HQ is attacked by a creature of myth, L’arcenciels, a creature of light. Also the Devil‘s Three show up and this is when the shit really hits the fan. During practice with swords, Jane ends up paralyzing Grégoire. This is a great fighting match between these two characters. She has a bomb left on her doorstep, and then she also has a sniper trying to kill her. The characters and storyline are well-developed. I love the inner monologue she has with Beast. It always puts a smile on my face . If you have followed the series and you are rooting for something to happen between Jane and Bruiser, you better read the book. 🙂 BROKEN SOUL will not disappoint, and I give it 5/5 stars. If you have not started this series, I urge you to do so.
