Review -Outside the Lines By Ally Bishop

outside the lines coverBlue. I’ve always been the problem child. My name alone should have warned anyone with a half a mind that I’d be trouble. Who’s named for the broken crayon nobody wants?

Professor Rhys Kennison should have seen me coming a mile away, and I should have known better than to fall for someone so far out of my league. But his touch is like fire and his taste…like the finest chocolate. What woman could resist that combination?

We’re headed for disaster, though—after all, it’s what I know best. No matter how hard I try, I can’t stop destroying anyone who gets too close. And Rhys doesn’t understand. How could he? When I don’t even understand myself?

Outside the Lines (Without a Trace Book 4) is a book that shows that when bad things happen, we will find ways to cope with it. I loved this book and fell in love with Blue and Rhys. Blue has been in and out of hospitals, because of her destructive behavior. What she does not know that there is something in her past that she has forgotten about that pushed her to try to cope with it. So, the behavior is a by-product of this event that happened when she was younger. She meets Rhys when she goes to her math Professor to get help with her algebra that she just cannot wrap her mind around it. There first encounter is explosive and they were instantly attracted to one another. As their relationship grows, Rhys helps her find out that she has a learning disability that prevents her from understanding her school work. She also finds out what happened to her when she was younger. OUTSIDE THE LINES is a very hot read, and I give it 5/5 stars.

REVIEW – WILD COWBOY WAYS BY CAROLYN BROWN

cover- wild cowboy ways
SOMETIMES ALL LOVE NEEDS IS A LITTLE LUCK.

Allie Logan isn’t the type to land a hot hunk of cowboy. Truth is, she’s given up on dating since shedding her no-good ex. But the new owner of the most ramshackle ranch in Texas might just change her mind about that. He’s six-foot-plus of tall, dark, and charming-the kind of guy who could make a girl throw caution to the wind . . . or the kind of guy who could break her heart.

Blake Dawson hopes he can make Lucky Penny Ranch finally live up to its name, but the property needs a ton of work. Allie and her carpentry skills are his best shot at getting things in order. Besides the fact that her brown eyes and dangerous curves have him roped and tied. Now Blake only needs to convince her that a wild cowboy can be tamed by love-and she’s just the one to do it . . .

If you like Cowboys, then you will love WILD COWBOY WAYS. If you need work done on your place you want Allie Logan for the job. So when Blake Dawson needed a new roof, he hired her. Blake Dawson wants to make the Lucky Penny a success, he needs help in getting the house ready. So, when Allie comes to his doorstep to retrieve her Grandmother, he hires her to do the work. The Lucky Penny has been bad luck for the ones who owned it before, but can he turn that luck around and have good luck in winning Allie over. I love a good Carolyn Brown book. The stories that she write are heartwarming and funny. Sometimes I just fall in love with the secondary characters. WILD COWBOY WAYS will pull you in and won’t let you go until the end. I loved this book and recommend it to everyone. I give WILD COWBOY WAYS 5/5 STARS.

REVIEW – RIVER BY MARIE YORK

river

River Ryan is used to getting his way. Girls, parties, drugs… As the lead singer of Deadly Intent, he’s got the rockstar lifestyle down pat. But when journalist, Harper James, shows up to follow the band around for an article, River just sees her as another groupie. Little does he know, Harper is actually a spy for the label, and they want him out.

An unlikely love story about love on the road and how two people who couldn’t be more different actually fit together perfectly.

I was given a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review.

RIVER is a quick read. The characters and story line are well-developed. River Ryan is the lead singer of the band  DEADLY INTENT, and until he met Harper he thought the whole rock star lifestyle was what he wanted. The drugs, women, and booze is getting to where they don’t interest him anymore. Secrets will be revealed and love will be tested. This will pull at your heartstrings when you find out how and why he formed the band. I cannot wait to read more by Marie York. I give RIVER 4/5 STARS.

A TIGER’S BRIDE is a rip-roaring, good time. Eve Langlaise does it again, and has us rolling on the floor laughing with this installment of the Lion’s Pride series.  It starts up during the wedding of Teena’s sister Meena. Now Dimitri just wants a woman who can breed his strong healthy children. When he sees Teena he knows now his luck is about to change. She is an exact copy of her sister, except she is more demure than her sister. If she did not have bad luck, she would have no luck at all. Now Dimitri is not scared away by her bad luck, for he has enough good luck to help balance it out. For Teena is his, as in his mate. Now he promises that he will not kidnap Teena, but when he tries to call his henchmen and call it off, no one answers. Now they are on a plane to Russia, and Teena is his new bride. She is overjoyed to be married to Dimitri, now if only he would get to the bedding part. Befor that can happen, they have to survive an airplane hi-jacking, kidnapping and being rescued at a castle. Oh, did I leave out the angry Father who wants his baby girl back.  The life of a shifter with no luck. This book had me laughing and feeling sorry for Teena and Dimitri, because all they want is to be married to their mate and get to the bedding. A TIGER’S BRIDE IS AWESOME AND i GIVE IT 5/5 STARS.
