Poetic Reflections on the One Who Saved Me

TRIFOLD MIRROR is a collection of personal, insightful poems that reflect
on the intentionality and individuality of the author’s relationship with
God. The poems apply biblical principles, which help demystify the
complexities of Christian doctrines and empower readers to study the Word of
God for themselves.
This contemporary collection is inspired by the Holy Spirit and addresses
different life stages (as seen in the “hood” section – which
features dark pages in the book). Each poem has its own personality,
emotion, teaching, and Bible verse to reinforce the poem.

FLOWERS – Page 134
I don’t want to wait until I’m old and gray to give You flowers
I want to give You flowers in my daily walk with You
Through my daily worship to You
I want to give You flowers in the ways I hold You in the highest regard
Through my shameless conviction that You’re the only true Savior
I want to give You flowers in the way I long to spend time with You
In my flawed attempts to always do right by You
I want to give You flowers in the way my presence brings You joy
In the way I’ve learned generosity and kindness because of You
I want to give You flowers while I still have teeth, thick hair, and tight skin
So that when my teeth fall
My skin wrinkles
My full locks turn sparse and sparkly
I would have shown You how much I love You
And would have decorated Your space
With the best of flowers, that only years in Your presence could buy
