Today I went in for my follow-up with my Doctor after I put on different medications to help me lose weight. I told her about my blood pressure dropping several times earlier this year and last year in December and having chest pains with it. We talked in detail about how the chest pains felt? Did they wake me up or did I wake up because my back was hurting? On this question I told her the main reason I got up was to go to the bathroom to pee, and my back was hurting a little then. This last Tuesday April 29,2014, when I arrived home I took my blood pressure because my Nephew bought a new wrist blood pressure monitor. We were all trying it out, and my blood pressure read 130/84, and this was around 7pm at night. The machine kept reading my Nephew’s blood pressure as very high, so we thought it was not working right.
I read up on it and tried it gain at close to 9pm, and it read 96/65 . I wrote this number down so I could let the Doctor know what it read, and then I ate something salty to try to raise it. The reason for the salt was because nurse told my Grandfather to eat something salty and walk around to bring it up. So that is what I did. I took it again thirty minutes later and had come up to 108/78. This was a little better.
At the Doctor today she told me to quit taking two of my medicines for now, and she did an EKG to compare it with last year’s. There was no change in the reading. The Doctor does not think it is my heart, but she is sending me to a cardiologist so they can do a stress test with the dye. Also the cardiologist can run other tests that they can’t to rule out other things. She also did a breath test for H-Pylori that can mimic the same chest pains as a heart attack. She prescribed me Prilosec until the results come back. I also told her that I usually have high acid levels in the body, because I have noticed when they are high I can not eat certain foods. I also get mouth sores a lot.
So for now at least the Doctor doesn’t think it is my heart(YEAH!). We will know more when the test results come in and I a look so see the Cardiologist (May 22, 2014) and do the stress test and any other tests. For now I guess I will eat more yogurt. I will talk with everyone tomorrow(today). 🙂
Well I had another episode where my blood pressure dropped this morning at around 3am and caused my to have pains in my chest. I don’t know what caused it this time, but I think it might be because my sodium levels are still low. I have not received my test results from my last blood tests, when the doctor had me come back in and have more blood drawn so he could re-test my sodium levels.
When my Grandfather’s blood pressure dropped one day and caused him to have chest pains, the nurse at the rehab center told him to eat something salty and to walk around. So I put an aspirin under my tongue and then ate a pickle. By then my blood pressure was back to normal. I go the next month to the doctor for my check-up, and I will ask him then what would be the cause of my blood pressure dropping. I did not take my blood pressure pill today because of it dropping like that. I will continue to monitor it to make sure that there is no other problems.
That was not a good feeling to wake up to. My mid-back was hurting when I got up to go to the bathroom, and when I got out my chest was starting to hurt. I automatically grabbed an aspirin out of my bag and put it under my tongue. My nephew was still awake and I let him know and he went and told my sister in case she had to take me to the emergency room. Everything was alright and the pain went away. Now I am just tired from the long day. it is getting late and I will talk with you later.
This morning at around 5:30 a.m. I got up to go to the bathroom and my chest started hurting. I laid down, because my back was hurting also with it. It would not let up, and the pain continued to get worse. There was no pain in my left arm or jaw. I went to the kitchen to get an aspirin and my sister was there. She went to my mom’s room and got two baby aspirin. They were not doing nothing so my mom got me a regular aspirin and it helped. She took my blood pressure and it was very low(too low).
I check the antibiotic that I was taking to see what the side effect was, and it would cause chest pains. So now I know that I cannot take Azithromycin. I took my blood pressure 2 more times and it went back to normal. So far no more chest pains. I have never had chest pains before, that was the first time that I have ever had them. I take blood pressure pills to regulate my blood pressure. I will make sure to keep an eye on it so it does not get low again. So I have been taking it easy, because I have to go to work tomorrow. I am not looking forward to working in the photo lab. I hate standing around and would rather be putting up freight.
