Each Dragon Kin book gets better and better, with more humor to make you double over with laughter. Dagmar breeds battle dogs and helps to run her family’s estate. She is called the beast of the North Lands and Gwenvael will face her down if it will gain him an alliance with them. Dagmar has a manipulative, devious mind, and is able to read situations and use them to her will. I loved the part when Dagmar asks where her puppy was and her Dad tells her that they gave it to the dragon. She goes upstairs and she sees him naked with his butt hanging out from under the bed trying to coax the puppy out. She pulls him by his leg and lets him know that her dogs are off-limits as a food source, and if he does eat one he will be very sorry. There is some funny dialogue in there that will have you rolling on the floor laughing, and wanting to hear some more. I could not put this book down, because it pulled me in completely until the last page. Then I wanted the next book in the series. I loved What A Dragon Should Know and all of G.A. Aiken’s novels, so I give this book 5/5 stars for all the laughter that I received while reading this book.
