For brilliant paranormal profiler Sloan Skye, a reluctant trip into her past will bring her face to face with a killer who shouldn’t exist. . .Being a skeptic is somehow making Sloan Skye one of the best profilers in the FBI‘s new Paranormal Behavioral Analysis Unit. True, her so-called love life isn’t any less tangled, but she’s beginning to believe she’s found a place where her uber-geek smarts and her more out-there methods fit perfectly.Unfortunately, all the incredible things she’s seen can’t prepare Sloan for the ultimate horror show. . .returning to her old high school. Someone–or some thing–is draining blood out of local teenage girls while they sleep. And the only way Sloan can solve the case is to push past her training and surrender to powers beyond her formidable logic to root out one very elusive killer. . .”An engaging police procedural paranormal starring a likeable heroine. . .fast-paced.” –Genre Go Round Reviews

“A refreshing paranormal series. . .mystery and intrigue, new exciting paranormal creatures, and the possibility of a love triangle. . .” –Paranormaladdicts.com

“Strong, snappy. . .entertaining!” —RT Book Reviews, 4 stars

Each book in this series gets better and better. Sloan has to go back to high school, for something or someone is killing girls while they are asleep.  There is no signs of forced entry, so how are they getting in? To me this would be torture, for I did not like high school.  Her love life is a regular soap opera. This book has well-developed characters and story line, with characters that help to move the story along.  I love this series and I give this boo 4/5 stars.

  1. Wow. This sounds right up my alley. You are quickly becoming a “go to” site for my “find something new” urges!

    • I read 200-260 books a year, and right now I have probably 500 books that I need to read on my shelf. I am constantly finding new authors to read. My nephew recommended an Author on Wattpad.com for me to read. Her name is Catrina Burgess and writes the Dark Rituals series. He loves these books. I plan to read them in-between my books from Netgalley. If you need any suggestions let me know.

      • Ha ha! I have over 1000 books on my “to read” list, and that isn’t even counting the ones that I pick up new every day . . . I think more than half of what I have isn’t on my official list.

I looked at the reviews for “Blood of Eden” which were pretty crummy – but crummy for the same reasons I think it will probably be good! I love complex story lines and multiple characters. People who find books “bad” because they wants books that are “ABC, 123” drive me out of my tree….. those books have their place, and I have read some of those as well, but I also love “The Gulag Archipelago” for instance!

      • I am the same way. I have read books that people have gushed about and I could not finish them.

      • Or gushed about books that others could not finish? lol

      • I will have to check that out – I have a few from Netgalley I am finishing up. Not taking any new ones right now so that I can work on clearing my schedule and starting fresh!
