Saddle up!

There ain’t a rider that can’t be thrown. And large-animal veterinarian Regan O’Connelli was thrown hard when he discovered his fiancée with his best friend. Now he’s starting his life over at the Last Chance Ranch, run by the tightly knit Chance clan. But damned if his libido hasn’t perked up over the spirited redhead who looks a lot like trouble….

Lily King is the queen of anti-structure. Turns out, that makes running a horse sanctuary a challenge. Regan’s help is exactly what Lily needs—not to mention the seriously sexy sparks that are flying between them. Now she just has to convince this fallen cowboy to dust himself off and get back in the saddle…and into her bed!

RIDING HIGH is a fun, fast, sexy read. I always enjoy a Vicki Lewis Thompson novel.  Lily King is way over her head with her horse sanctuary. She has taken in more than she can handle. When Regan O’Connelli points it out she knows he is right. When she meets him and he does not take off his sun glasses, she knows that is has been hurt and he is protecting himself. She knows that she does not want to be his rebound girl. When he moves in to help her with the horses so that she can adopt them out, things start to heat up.

Regan was hurt when he found his fiancée with his best friend, but being around Lily he has done a lot of soul-searching and has come to the fact that he really never was in love with his fiancée. So now he has to convince Lily that he is over his past and he wants her in his future permanently. When his best friend shows up and wants to talk to him, it could destroy his relationship. I really loved this book and give it 4/ 5 stars.

BOOK REVIEW FOR “FEELS LIKE HOME” BY VICKIE LEWIS THOMPSON

FEELS LIKE HOME

Book Description

         Publication Date:         August 1, 2012
City slicker Rafe Locke is no cowboy. When  he arrives at the Last Chance Ranch for his brother’s wedding, Rafe refuses to buy in to the whole cowboy “thing.” That is, until he  sees engineer Meg Seymour whoopin’ it  up—a city girl gone country—and she hits  his libido with a bull’s-eye!
Meg grabs life by the horns, and it’s not long before she’s enticed Rafe into riding, roping, country dancing…and gettin’ naked in bed!  But as they get tangled up in the sheets—and each other!—Rafe has to keep reminding himself that this cowboy life is just a fling.
Or is it?

This I a great story, that is well written. The characters and story line was well-developed. I loved Rafe and Meg they seemed to complement each other really well. Meg showed Rafe how to unplug from life and how to slow down, and enjoy life around him. Rafe  does not even want to leave the city or even think about leaving the city, but after being with Meg all that could change. This is another great book by Vickie Lewis Thompson, anytime she has a new book come out I always rush out to buy it. I love her writing and sense of humor that she puts into her books. They always make me smile. I give this book a 5/ 5 stars.
I recommend that If you have not read any books by this author, that you go out and pick one up at your local book store or download it on your e-reader or tablet. You will not be disappointed.
