looking for trouble by victoria dahl Book Description

Publication Date: August 1, 2014

A good reason to be bad… Librarian Sophie Heyer has walked the straight and narrow her entire life to make up for her mother’s mistakes. But in tiny Jackson Hole, Wyoming, juicy gossip doesn’t just fade away. Falling hard for the sexiest biker who’s ever ridden into town would undo everything she’s worked for. And to add insult to injury, the alluring stranger is none other than Alex Bishop—the son of the man Sophie’s mother abandoned her family for. He may be temptation on wheels, but Sophie’s not looking for trouble! Maybe Sophie’s buttoned-up facade fools some, but Alex knows a naughty smile when he sees one. Despite their parents’ checkered pasts, he’s willing to take some risks to find out the truth about the town librarian. He figures a little fling might be just the ticket to get his mind off his own family drama. But what he finds underneath Sophie’s prim demeanor might change his world in ways he never expected.

LOOKING FOR TROUBLE IS A FUN, SEXY, ROMP.  Alex is back in Jackson Hole, Wyoming after 16 years to attend a memorial service for his dad that has been who has been dead for 25 years. He died while running away with Sophie Heyer’s mother. The first day Alex sees Sophie he is entranced, but he does not know yet she is the daughter of the woman his dad ran off with. The sex is hot and steamy. This book has well-developed characters and story line. I really enjoyed this book and give it 5/5 stars.I recommend it to everyone.

URBAN FANTASY BOOK REVIEW: “UNDER THE FINAL MOON” BY HANNAH JAYNE

under the final moon hannah jayne
Book Description
Publication Date: August 5, 2014
It’s not the end of the world–until it is.
Sophie Lawson may be a mere human with no special abilities except a strong immunity to magic. But the havoc she’s wreaked on the supernaturals who come up against the Underworld Detection Agency have earned her plenty of enemies. Still, a girl can’t freak out every time a horribly barbecued corpse is found with her business card in its hand. Or see a sudden glut of earthquakes, wildfires and three-headed dogs as just another day in California. But Alex Grace, her favorite fallen angel, is concerned–or saying he is to see more of her. Getting Sophie to see all the signs of the Apocalypse is an interesting way to heat things up. Or maybe what’s making everyone hot under the collar is the fact that all Hell is about to break loose. . .

I was given a copy of this book by NETGALLEY for an honest review.

What happens when dear old dad comes back in your life? Well for Sophie Lawson it is the start of Armageddon, for dear old dad is Lucas Szabo (aka Satan the devil). Bodies are showing up around town just a little bit crispy, and they don’t know why they are going up in flame with no accelerant. When Alex finds one of Sophie’s business cards in one of the victims hands, she is automatically thrown into the investigation. Fires are breaking out all over town and they don’t know who is causing it. Every clue they find points to dear old dad. When Lucas shows up at her door she finds out why he has decided to get to know her now, he wants the VESSEL OF SOULS  that is inside of her. Now she has to do everything she can to make sure he does not get it. Even if she has to perform a ritual to return it where it belong, but if she does this she will lose one of the men in her life that she loves. How can she love two men at the same time, for they both bring something to the relationship. One makes her feel safe and protected and the other just gets her.  UNDER THE FINAL MOON is a funny, quick read that will have you laughing. The characters and story line are well-developed. I give this book 5/5 stars. I recommend this book and series to everyone.
