COUNTDOWN TO CRISIS

A serial killer strikes every twelve hours. A vampire takes lives at random. At first glance, these tragic incidents seem unrelated. But Special Investigations Unit agents Sam Ryan and Gabriel Stern trace them both back to a military base known as Hopeworth. Is the murder spree part of a cover-up? And are the vampire killings less by chance and more methodical?

The investigation takes an eerie, personal turn when Sam discovers a connection between herself and the victims—and a clue to her own mysterious origins. With the violence escalating and the danger drawing closer to home, the stakes are raised and the mission changes from seeking justice to ensuring Sam and Gabriel’s own survival. And the one person who seems to hold all the answers—about Hopeworth, about Sam’s past—is a mystery man she isn’t sure she can trust. They share a psychic link through her dreams, and he once saved her life, but he may just be the greatest enemy humankind has ever known.

I was given a copy of this book by NETGALLEY for an honest review.

This is a great sequel to MEMORY ZERO. It has a great plot and well-developed characters that work well together to move the story along. When people from Hopeworth start turning up dead, Sam has to find out who is killing them and is she next to be killed? She also talks to a mystery man who tells her when she wants answers to her past she will see them in her dreams and in her heart. He also tells her to look at the pin he gave her if she wishes to find answers.Everything keeps pointing to experiments that produced hybrids named Generation 18 and Penumbra. The military was behind these experiments, and when they had a failure they put them in a home. Is Sam a failure? or success no one knows about? Hopefully these questions and more will be answered in the next book PENUMBRA. I loved this book, with its fast paced action. I give GENERATION 18-    5/ 5 stars. i recommend this series to everyone.

BLOOD OF INNOCENCE has well-developed character and story line. They have a nasty serial killer , who kills pregnant woman and drains their blood like a vampire. At one point in the story, Sloan and JT stopped to get breakfast on their way to re-check the crime scenes and when they came out JT’s car was on fire. Sloan’s computer and go to bag was destroyed.  Her dad who she thought was dead is now back with her mom, and her mom is pregnant. We have a little romance going on with Sloan liking two men, but she keeps them at arm’s length. This a great installment to the series with paranormal mystery and a little romance. I loved  BLOOD OF INNOCENCE  and i give it 4/5 stars.

BOOK REVIEW FOR “UNDEAD To The WORLD” BY D.D. BARRANT

Product DetailsThis is the last book in THE BLOODHOUND FILES. D.D. Barrant will have you questioning all things “reality” with this series. He will have you wondering if you are the one that is actually walking one of those parallel lines and if it is real or could be one of many possibilities. He pushes the boundaries of his world building. He creates likeable characters that will draw you into the story, that wont let you go.

Jace Valchek was a FBI profiler, tracking down criminal, when one night she is ripped from her reality by David Cassius , the vampire head of the NSA. they need her help in tracking and locating a serial murderer of gruesome killings of vampires and werewolves.  They have never come across something like this before so they bring Jace to their reality to help. They tell her when she helps to apprehend or kill the one in the murders then they will return her to her reality.

This book starts with Jace in Kansas apparently in her own world. Is it really her world. She has to solve one more case before she can go home, and that case is the case of the Gallowsman. Not everything is as it seems to be. Are friends really your friends, or are they your enemies.

This book still leaves some loose ends, but it is still a good story. I think I read somewhere that he would like to write more to this series. So I give this book a 4/5 stars.
