Relationships/Self Help

Date Published: February 14, 2020

Publisher: Skyhorse Publishing; ebook distributed by Simon & Schuster

Married for 33 years, David, a divorce lawyer, and Julie, a family therapist, have both been witness to families struggling with life’s most difficult challenges. At the same time, they have weathered their own challenges at home: raising four daughters, two biological and two adopted, and dealing with one child’s mental health and behavioral issues. What they’ve learned about saving a marriage or knowing when to call it quits, when to turn to professionals or when to try tough love, could fill a book—and it does.

EXCERPT

“In compiling this book, we did not spend hours researching, studying, or constructing and analyzing a ‘love lab’ as John Gottman did in his The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Our lab is our work.  Our lab is our experience; it is late night phone calls, emails, texts and working with clients in our offices or coffee shops. Our lab is our home, the challenges we have faced as a couple, as lovers, as friends and as parents.  Through our conversations that have stretched over years, our lab brings out the good, exposes the bad and lays bare the ugly.”

Praise
for Woozie Wisdom:
“Author
Lynn Hubschman has constructed a book that gives grandmotherly advice to those
that might have missed out on important life tips. In earlier chapters she
talks about common sense tips as they relate to living a happy healthy and
vibrant life.” —Pacific Book Review

“Read
this book and then empower yourself to make any necessary changes. Hubschman
advises but she says it more indirectly and comically when she says, ‘So listen
to what you say and how you say it. Listen to what the people around you talk
about. If you want to throw up…. move on.’ The breadth of the book’s content
is unparalleled.” —The US Review of Books

A Bronx Boy’s Tale details the life of the author as he witnessed the major historical events on the 1960’s and 1970’s. Although it was a time of social upheaval and strife, Jimmy’s family, friends and the Beautiful Bronx all made the experience glorious.
It is a lesson to us in modern times who despair about the state of things. Family, friends, and having a strong community in which to thrive can supersede any perceived threat from a world thought to be mad.

About the Author

A Bronx Boy’s Tale AuthorJimmy Newell has a degree in law as well as a Masters in History. But, more than that, Jimmy grew up in the Bronx and wishes to share that with you and to make you see that you probably had a similar experience wherever you may have come of age.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

What would you do to try to save your marriage?  Well in HEART CRAVING  Nick will do anything to save his marriage. Including going to a psychic to find out what his wife’s Heart Craving is. He will buy how-to sex books to try to fulfill her sexual fantasies. This produces a lot of funny moments. This was a fast, hot, sexy read, with well-developed characters and story line. the sex scenes are hot, and making you want a cold shower after  reading. Sandra Hill knows how to tell a story. I loved this story and give it 5/5 stars. I recommend this to everyone to read.

redneck romeo

Rough Riders, Book 15

Three years ago, Dalton McKay looked across the altar and saw the woman he knew he’d love for the rest of his life…only it wasn’t his bride. That’s when he took the McKays’ love-’em-and-leave-’em reputation to new heights—fleeing the ceremony and Wyoming.

Now a family issue has brought Dalton back to Sundance, giving him a chance to prove to everyone—especially the woman he thought he lost—that he’s a changed man.

Aurora “Rory” Wetzler has fallen for cowboy hottie Dalton’s smooth-talkin’ ways too many times. So he’s determined to convince her he’s playing for keeps this go around? Fine. She’ll call that bluff—she can’t ignore their intense chemistry or resist smokin’ hot sex, but she’s not willing to gamble her heart again.

Dalton has plenty of fences to mend with the McKays, but his biggest fear is that Rory doesn’t believe they have a future. He’ll have to pull out all the stops to show her they belong together for the long haul.

Warning: Contains a sexy cowboy who tames his sassy lady-love with his romantic and his kinky side. In explicit detail.
