LAID BEAR 2 is a great sequel to the first and a fantastic read. It has great character interactions and a well-developed  story line. It can read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the first. Veronica Muir and Jess Slade met on an online dating site and grew to really like each other a lot.  Now Jess wants to meet face to face, but is he ready to learn her secret? Can he handle that she can shift into a bear? Well when their first date becomes hot and heavy, news is attacked by one of the BROTHERHOOD. She has to save him and turned into a bear in front of him. Apparently this is too much for him to take in and leaves, but he cannot get her out of his mind. I really loved this book and give it 5/5 stars, and recommend it to everyone.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

HOW TO MARRY A COWBOY had me rolling on the floor laughing every time Mason ‘s two girls Lily  and Gabby would open their mouths. The scene where the two girls were piercing the two goats ear and then the old Tom cats ear was priceless. I could picture them clearly in my head while they did it. I love it when an author brings in kids like Lily Ann Gabby, they tend to bring more shenanigans to the story. Without these two twin girls so desperately wanting a mama, the story would not be half as funny. There name for Annie Rose that the girls called her mama-Nanny brought back memories when I helped to raise my oldest nephew and he would call me aunt-mama.

Morgan and Annie Rose has a long road to finally accepting that they belong together. He has to get over the death of his first wife, and let himself love another woman without guilt. Annie Rose has to get over the fear that the guy she was running from would not find her and kill her. She also had to get over the fear that Mason was not like her last boyfriend and settled disputes with her with his fists. I loved the way Annie Rose handled the parenting situation with the girls wanting  the goats to stay in their room. That was sooo funny, that I had tears rolling down my cheeks from laughing so much. This book will have you laughing so much that you want to make sure that you are not eating or drinking while you are reading for fear of choking from laughter. CAROLYN BROWN is truly the Queen of Romantic Comedy.I give HOW TO MARRY A COWBOY 5/5 stars. If I cold give more I would, it was that good. I recommend this book to everyone.

Carolyn Brown delivers another sexy, fun, hilarious read with a well-developed storyline and characters. I always enjoy a Carolyn Brown book, for I know I will have a smile on my face while reading her books. She always makes me laugh with her witty banter in her books.  THE  COWBOY’S MAIL ORDER BRIDE  delivered as usual. When Emily promised her grandfather that she would deliver the last letter he wrote his sweetheart and the post office had lost 60 years ago, and found it just recently and returned it to him, when he asked before he passed away from cancer. She delivers it to Clarice on the Lightning Ridge Ranch. Now everything has a reason for not going as planned and Emily’s grandfather’s letter was lost that he proposed to Clarice in, they were not fated to get married. Apparently Emily and Greg are the couple that is fated to be soul mates and Greg has to convince Emily of it.

Clarice offers Emily a position at the ranch so she can figure out what she wants to do like she promised her grandfather. He wanted her ponder whether she wanted to keep the 100 acres of ranch land that he left to her or if her fate was somewhere else. Now when she meets Greg, she knows that there is something about him that draws her to him. Now Greg’s grandmother and aunt hatch a plan to get the two together and marry. What the two ladies do will have you laughing, especially the colorful language the aunt uses. This was a fun, sexy, hilarious read, and I give THE COWBOY’S MAIL ORDER BRIDE 5/5 STARS.

    DEATH’S DAUGHTER BY KATHLEEN COLLINS

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley

    for an honest review.

    Book Description

    March 31, 2014

Book two of the Realm Walker series

Juliana Norris, Realm Walker with the Agency, is an Altered. A fact that she runs up against every time she’s forced to work with human police officers, and their species-ist commissioner, on cases they can’t solve themselves. Which happens more than they would like to admit.

Her gift—the quality that makes her the best Realm Walker in the business, without boast—is the ability to read magical signatures. Whether the gift came from her father, the dark fae god of death, or the mage mother she can’t remember, is anyone’s guess. And when Altered children start going missing with only wild magical signatures as clues, her heritage is the last thing on her mind.

She can’t afford such distractions, and she definitely can’t afford to worry about the fact that her mate, master vampire Thomas Kendrick, hasn’t spoken to her since she saved him from a demon—maybe it’s because she had to stab him to do so. Because whoever is kidnapping these children must be very powerful to wield wild magic. Very powerful, and very dangerous indeed.

I loved Book 1 – Realm Walker in this series, and Book 2 delivers even more than the first. The story line and characters are very well-developed. DEATH’S DAUGHTER will take you on one wild rollercoaster ride. Realm Walker Juliana Norris with the Agency is called back in early from her suspension from the last case in Book 1, to help find THE THIEF, the psycho who is kidnapping altered children and purifying them. When her niece is taken and one of their own is killed, she must find THE THIEF before anyone else is harmed. Unknowingly that THE THIEF is someone within her own circle looking for the missing children.

When I first started out reading the book I had somewhat of a feeling of who THE THIEFwas, but with a few red herrings thrown in, I was not quite sure until the last. DEATH’S DAUGHTER will have you guessing until the very end. The only part that I did not like was when one of the characters that I liked was killed off, but I know why the author did what she did. When certain characters cannot move a story forward anymore, you have to somehow eliminate them from the story line. This certain character did not move the storyline forward for the character, therefore the death. There is also some resolutions to things from book 1 that help to move the story further along for both Juliana and Master Vampire Thomas, her mate. I really enjoyed the book and cannot wait for the next book in the series. If you have not read REALM WALKER DO SO BEFORE YOU READ DEATH’S DAUGHTER. I give it 5/5 stars.
