REVIEW “VAMPIRES NOT INVITED” BY CHEYENNE McCREY

VAMPIRES NOT INVITED

Book Description

Publication Date: November 30, 2010

New York Times bestselling author Cheyenne McCray sets the night on fire in her blazing-hot Night Tracker series—where the fangs come out when the sun goes down…

Vampire attacks are on the rise in the city that never sleeps. So why is half-human, half-Drow private eye Nyx tracking down Sprites? Sure, these “young bloods” are causing mischief all over town—like painting the Statue of Liberty’s toenails neon pink. But it’s not until Nyx finds herself at the Pit, Manhattan’s hottest nightclub for paranorms, that she understands what she’s really up against…

Seems Master Vampire Volod has a plan—and the Sprites are in on it. By targeting the weaknesses of every paranorm in the city, from Elves to Shifters to Zombies, Volod and his fang gang aim to rule the night once and for all. Over Nyx’s dead body. She loves a good challenge—and she will seduce danger at every turn to throw Volod off course. It’s time for Nyx to enter the beating heart of this dark conspiracy…before driving a stake through it.

BOOK DESCRIPTION COURTESY OF AMAZON

I loved this book, the world building, the characters. Master Vampire Volod wants to rule nocturnal New York and the prominence that they once held. The vampire hires the sprites to cause destruction and pull pranks, while the vampires go ahead with their plan to take out the other paranormal species. This is a fast paced book with many twists and turns. I give this a 4/5 stars.

HERE IS A POEM I WROTE AT A VERY LOW TIME IN MY LIFE

Silent Tears

By Jennifer Reed

I cry my tears in silence! For I don’t know what to do.

I cry my tears in silence! For I am scared of losing you.

I cry my tears in silence! For my family who is torn apart.

I cry my tears in silence! For I am scared and alone.

I cry my tears in silence! For the love that is tossed aside.

I cry my tears in silence! For my heart that is torn apart.

I cry my tears in silence! For the blackness that is inside.

I cry my tears in silence! For the hate that I feel inside.

I cry my tears in silence! For I feel so alone.

When will the tears stop coming? When I am lonely and on my own.

When will the tears stop coming?

When I am six feet under, where no one can hurt me.

When will the tears stop coming? When I am safely in your arms,Oh Lord!

I will continue to cry in silence!Until that day comes.

When I am with you, Oh lord!

So you can dry my tears,And I will hurt no more.

CHRISTMAS 2 MONTHS AWAY. SAY WHAT!!!!!!!!!

imagesCA7AYLRP I can’t believe it either. Where has this year gone? Just thinking about it has my head hurting, because not only do I have to buy Christmas . I still have 10 birthdays between now and December to buy for. I have 1 birthday on October 31, Nov, 9,10, 15, 2 on Nov. 19, Dec. 6, 9, 13, 15, then Christmas. I basically stay broke from this time until the new year. I guess that is why my Mom hates the holidays. I am starting to get that Bah humbug feeling, especially now that I know I need knee surgery and the doctor wants to wait until I lose about 50-60 pounds.

That is about how much I lost in about 2 years, so I hope it wont be 2 years before I have knee surgery. I don’t think I can last that long. Maybe with physical therapy starting Monday, that will be my Christmas present, knee surgery. Has anyone started shopping yet for Christmas, or are many of you last-minute shoppers. last year I had most of my shopping just about done, but this year I have not even started shopping. Maybe I will get them all an Amazon gift card and let them get what they want.  That way I don’t have to deal with the crowds. I work for a major retailer and it is crazy during the holiday and I try not to shop when I get off work.

I just want to get out of there and get home. For some reason the holidays brings out the worst in people. People who are normally nice the rest of the year are down right witches( you can replace the w with a b ) it is really scary. So I suggest if you don’t want to be part of the scary crowd, start your shopping now, and order online. It will definitely save you some headaches later. I know I will.  Why not Start Now And Follow the Link Bellow.

REVIEW FOR “WALK THE NIGHT” BY E.S. MOORE

Product DetailsKat Redding is called LADY DEATH. She is good at what she does, she hunts the very thing she is, VAMPIRES. She thirsts for blood and is capable of killing any creature unlucky enough to get in her way. Now there is a threat out there and Lady Death can’t allow that to happen. A vampire Count wants to merge his house with that of one of the local werewolf cults to create a force of great power. Kate can not let this happen.

Even if this means taking on the vampires and a cult werewolves more ruthless than she has ever seen before. She might have the allies the weapons and the skills, but can she do it in time before her own dark nature rises to the surface and cost her the rest of what ever is left of her humanity.

This is a very good start to a good series. Kat is fighting against losing herself totally to becoming a vampire. She is trying to hang on to what little humanity she has left. She only feeds when she absolutely has to, and then she feeds on the dregs of society.

I give this a 5/ 5 stars. I recommend tis book to anyone, and the others in the series.

BOOK REVIEW OF “BLOOD TRADE” BY FAITH HUNTER

Product DetailsJane Yellowrock is a shape-shifting skinwalker, who shares her body with the soul of a mountain lion. This is BOOK 6 OF THE JANE YELLOWROCK NOVELS.  Jane has to help The Master of the Vampires in Natchez, Mississippi with a nasty problem of rogue vampires not following the Naturaleza. They believe humans are should be prey and nothing else.

When Jane gets there she meets a friend of hers from the orphanage that she lived in, and when her friend goes missing she takes over the care of her daughter. When she engages the rogue Vamps she notices something different about them that makes them harder to kill, even for her.

A simple job has turned into a job to stay alive, and find her friend so the child in her care will have a mother.

This series has continues to pull me in with each book. Each book continues Jane’s to unlock her past, and continue the character growth. I LOVE THIS SERIES.  SO I GIVE THIS BOOK A 5/ 5 STARS.
