Discern description:

Nicole Williams is an Arete—a fourth child with magical abilities—yet no matter how hard she tries, she can’t Channel her power. In fact, she seems to be the only student at Katon University who fails at magic.

This doesn’t stop her from competing to be included on a university-led expedition to Arches National Park. She is determined to show everyone, but mostly herself, that she does belong. Yet, to qualify for the trip, she must produce at least a speck of Wind magic, and that appears to be impossible.

Nicole turns to her best friend, Lizzie, for help, along with fellow student Austin Young, who is considered by all a magical rarity. He also happens to be the hottest guy on campus and just might be interested in her.

As the competition progresses, Nicole wonders if she’s making the right choice—especially when she learns that the strange fossils they’ll be studying in Arches might not be as dead as everyone thinks.

BOOK REVIEW FOR “ONE LUCKY VAMPIRE” BY LYNSAY SANDS

Product Details

No one does wickedly funny and irresistibly steamy like New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands—especially in this red-hot romance between a reluctant vampire and the beauty who needs his help.

Luck be a vampire tonight . . .

When Nicole Phillips agreed to hire a housekeeper, she pictured someone a little frumpy and almost certainly female. Instead, she gets gorgeous, unmistakably male Jake Colson. The man is proving indispensable in the kitchen—and everywhere else. Except Jake might not be a mortal man at all.

. . . and every night

Who wouldn’t want to be a tall, dark, powerful vampire?Jake, for one. He’s barely had time to adjust to his newstate before he’s roped into a family favor. Still, secretly playing bodyguard to sweet, sexy Nicole is turning out to be the wildest ride of his life. First, he’ll put a stop to whoever’s targeting her. Then he’ll prove that this kind of love, and luck, happens only once in an eternity.

BOOK DESCRIPTION COURTESY OF AMAZON

I always love a good Lynsay Sands book. The story line was great, and the characters were well- developed. I really loved Jake and Nicole. They were very believable characters, and their character’s grew as the story progressed. Jake had to accept that he was not a monster, when he was turned like in all the  horror movies he watched as a kid. Nicole had to learn to trust Jake enough to fall in love with him and let him turn her. The one that is stalking he and trying to kill them, you will never guess. It is a nice little twist to the story. Lynsay Sands signature humor is right there in every page. I give this book 5/5 stars. I cannot wait until the next one.
