Broken Soul blurb:
Jane Yellowrock is a vampire killer for hire—but other creatures of the night still need to watch their backs….
When the Master of the city of New Orleans asks Jane to improve security for a future visit from a delegation of European vampires, she names an exorbitant price—and Leo is willing to pay. That’s because the European vamps want Leo’s territory, and he knows that he needs Jane to prevent a total bloodbath. Leo, however, doesn’t mention how this new job will change Jane’s life or the danger it will bring her and her team.
Jane has more to worry about than some greedy vampires. There’s a vicious creature stalking the streets of New Orleans, and its agenda seems to be ripping Leo and her to pieces. Now Jane just has to figure out how to kill something she can’t even see….

Taste of Darkness by Katie Reus
Book Description
Publication Date: July 24, 2014
Release week SALE price of $2.99! Regular price will be $4.99

New York Times & USA Today bestselling author Katie Reus continues her paranormal romance “Darkness” series with … Taste of Darkness.

He spent more than a thousand years imprisoned in Hell…

Drake is an ancient dragon shifter, one of the most powerful beings in existence, but over a millennium trapped in utter darkness has left him ill-equipped for modern society. If it wasn’t for Victoria, the sweet female brave enough to befriend him, he’d be lost. She’s smart and gorgeous and everything he never dared dream of during his years of agonizing loneliness. He may not have anything to offer her, but one thing he knows for sure: he’d die to keep her safe.

Only to fall into the heaven of her touch.

Victoria is a wolf shifter, healer of the Stavros pack. She’s seen a lot, but she’s never met anybody quite like Drake, the fiery, fascinating shifter who can blaze through the skies unseen by mere mortals. He’s lost, dangerous, and the last male she should fall in love with, but the more time she spends helping him navigate modern life, the deeper—and hotter—their connection becomes. She’s thrilled when they finally locate his family, but reuniting with his people plunges them both into unimaginable danger. It’s a race against the clock trying to figure out who wants them dead and who they can trust, especially when the threat is closer than they ever imagined.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

Drake was twelve or thirteen years old when he was sacrificed to open a Hell gate. Now fifteen hundred years later he does not know who sacrificed him, because when he came beck through the gate in New Orleans he cannot seem to remember anything from that time. The first time he saw Victoria he knew she was his mate, and he will make her his one day when he has the means to support her. Victoria is the healer in the Stavros pack, and she really likes Drake and wishes he would make some kind of move on her. When Drakes brother Conall and his sister Keelin show up, things go to hell when some unknown dragons show up and poison Victoria. Now they are taking Victoria to Dragon clan to a healer who can help Victoria with the poison. He doesn’t know who to trust now that he is surrounded by dragons he does not know. When Victoria and Keelin are kidnapped he finally remembers who sacrificed him all those years ago, and now he is going to use Keelin to open the gate once again.  TASTE OF DARKNESS was a great read, with action, romance and drama. I would recommend it to everyone. I give it 5/5 stars.

Jane is ready to do whatever it takes to find her friend. Her desperate search leads her deep into a web of black magic and betrayal and into the dark history between vampires and witches. But the closer she draws to Molly, the closer she draws to a new enemy—one who is stranger and more powerful than any she has ever faced.

Molly has finally forgiven Jane for killing her sister, so when something happens to her magic she knows that Jane will know who can help fix her problem. On her way to see Jane in New Orleans, Molly is kidnapped out of her hotel room before she can contact Jane when she hits town. Now Evan Trueblood, Molly’s husband, is in town thinking that Jane is deliberately keeping Molly from him. He is ready to blow her house down with gale force winds.  When some of Katie’s ladies, Bliss and Rachael go missing, she has to find them before something happens to them.
Jane’s week just keeps getting better and better, when Vamps start turning up true dead and all that is left is ash. It seems no one knows how it is happening. Leo also informs Jane that she will be the Enforcer for the Gather that will be hosted in New Orleans at the end of the week. Now she has a Gather to get ready for, find Molly, Rachael, and Bliss before something happens to them. Oh, and did I mention that Molly’s magic had turned into death magic. If Jane does not find her by a certain time frame she could die!
This series gets better and better as it progresses. The characters and story lines are well-developed, and I just love the characters. Some of the Minor characters in this book almost steal the show, like Molly’s kids(Angie and Evan Jr.), they are adorable. Faith Hunter delivers another awesome installment to her Jane Yellowrock series. I give Black Arts 5/5 stars, and recommend you start reading it today . If you have not read the series definitely start reading it, you will not be disappointed. The conversations that she has with Beast, the soul of the mountain lion within her, is sometimes  quite funny.
The first book in the series is  Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, Book 1)

SAVING SAVANNAH BY SANDRA HILL WILL SHE BE SAVED?

SAVING SAVANNAH

Book Description

Publication Date: September 30, 2013

When Tante Lulu decides to matchmaker, matches are made. But this time, her meddling Cajun charm will be put to the test . . .

For five years Savannah Jones thought Special Forces Captain Matthew Carrington died in Afghanistan. For five years he thought she’d rejected him—thanks to his mother’s interception of the letter she wrote to him as he left on his tour of duty. Now she’s struggling to re-build a life for herself and their daughter, Katie, despite the devastation Katrina wrought on New Orleans. Thanks to Tante Lulu and her police-officer great-nephew, Tee-John, Savannah and Matthew are about to be reunited. Will Tante Lulu’s bayou wisdom and sassy attitude be able to turn their broken relationship into a loving gumbo?

Sandra Hill is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than thirty romantic humor novels. Whether they be historicals, contemporaries, time travels, or Christmas novellas, whether they be about Vikings, Cajuns, Navy SEALs or sexy Santas, the common element in all her books is humor. It’s been said that love makes the world go ’round, but in Sandra’s world, love with a dash of laughter, makes it spin.

I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK BY NET GALLEY FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.
I love Tante Lulu with her busy body ways and her outrageous fashion sense. She always wants to help people by way of St. Jude. She believes he is pointing her in the direction to someone who needs her help. In this case she is it is Savannah and Katie who lives in their car. Savannah believes that her fiancé Matt is dead for the past 6 years. At least that is what his snooty mother tells her. Savannah was never good enough for her son; she was not born of their social class. She was found on the steps of a church and later adopted by loving parents.
When Matt asked her to marry her before he was deployed to Afghanistan she was ecstatic, but she was never able to tell him she was pregnant before he was MIA. So for 6 years she tought he was dead and now Tante Lulu has to reunite the loving couple before savannah runs off to Alaska with Katie and Matt loses her again. This is a story of families butting in where they shouldn’t and hurting a relationship and true love. Also denying a child the love of a father and the love of grandparents all because they think they are too good for them. Social class is nothing, but family is everything. When you have the love of family, you are richer for it.

I loved the story line and the character development of this story, and also seeing characters from past books. Everybody needs a Tante Lulu in their family. Somebody that is their willing to help, no questions asked (well with her there is always questions asked). Matt and Savannah were happy together, they didn’t care about social standing. All they cared about is that they loved each other, until his mother stepped in and told Savannah he was dead. I loved this story so I gave it a 5 /5 stars.
