Included in this anthology are:

Weathering Lainey by Stella Moore
Lainey Goldberg has spent her entire life believing she’s completely normal. Until an evil corporation tries to kidnap her, a man she only knows as “Daddy” rescues her, and she’s forced to come to terms with the fact that she has powers she never dreamed of. Can she learn to live under Daddy’s rules and come to terms with her new reality? Or will she risk both their lives by doing things her own way?

Little Villain by Golden Angel
Chaotica is the right hand lady of the city’s biggest villain… until she’s captured by the vigilante Pluto. Things haven’t been going well with her Daddy for a long time, so when Pluto suddenly starts making all the right moves she can’t help but wonder… is he just playing a part to get her to talk? Or would she be better off switching sides and taking a chance on a Daddy who seems too good to be true?

Super Daddy by Allysa Hart and Rayanna Jamison

I wasn’t the damsel in distress type. And yet here I was, wrapped up in a shit-show of epic proportions, with a gang of bad guys after me and a leak somewhere in the ranks of the police department charged with keeping me safe. The next thing I know, I’m holed up in a talking house with Brian, the butter-voiced superhero who ‘rescued’ me against my will. He has a hard-as-steel body and even harder hands, but there’s something about him I just can’t resist. I’ve never needed anyone, and I don’t want to start now, but when he tells me to call him Daddy, I almost believe it when he says he can keep me safe… Almost…

Daddy’s Sassy Little Superhero by Adaline Raine
I should have paid more attention to the night things changed, but I didn’t. No one ever paid me any attention, but now I’m super strong. I hurt the baddest man in the city and now he’s coming after me.

Daddy Shark by Maren Smith
Ommin Jones had always been alone. He had a job, his own place, and no friends (just the way he liked it). Sadly, all that changed the night he saved another man’s life. Now, despite all his best efforts, everyone wanted his autograph and the media wouldn’t leave him alone. He hated it… right up until he met Britney, a late-night radio personality and Little as lonely as he was. No, Ommin never meant to be a super hero. But for one very special Little, he wasn’t just Ommin the Sharkman. He was… Daddy Shark!

Daddy’s Justice by R.J. Gray
When Loki and his dark forces ascend on Midgard, my team is dispatched. The mission: Track down the valkyrie demi-god, Morrigan, and protect her, no matter the cost. The problem: Morrigan has no idea what she is, she doesn’t cooperate, and I, the God of Justice, am not accustomed to disobedience. Also, falling in love wasn’t part of the assignment. Loki is unstoppable; he’ll kill her if he can, but from the moment she calls me Daddy, everything changes. Now, to get to her, he’ll have to go through me… Fat chance.

Ultragirl Powers Up by Emily Tilton
Midwestern college girl Susan Corday has just discovered she’s actually the last survivor of a race of alien warriors, whose almost unlimited powers come directly from her sexual arousal. Can the extremely dominant Nightprince teach the newly minted Ultragirl to keep her powers in check with his considerable skills as a loving daddy? Earth’s newest superhero is about to find out that she’s really a naughty little at heart, and badly in need of a sound spanking.

BLURB:

An ex-cop sent to prison for something he didn’t do, Kurt Doyle knows from experience that nothing good ever happens on a Monday. So when his Grams hooks him up with a friend in need of a bodyguard, he knows better than to get involved… until the Little in Scotti Moore provokes the dominant Daddy in him. She’s small, she’s sweet, she’s innocent. She’s almost more trouble than she’s worth, and she’s a librarian, for crying out loud. But she needs his protection, and even if she is everything he wants, he knows the last thing she needs is a man that brings more trouble.

EXCERPT:

Now she really couldn’t sleep.

Picking at Bat Bear now instead of her blanket, Scotti asked, “Is there someone out there missing you because you’re sleeping here?”

“Grams has late-night TV to keep her company,” he said. “She’ll be fine.”

“No, I mean someone like me.”

“I already told you, I’ve never done this before. You’re my only client. Go to sleep, Scotti.”

“No,” she persisted. “I mean, do you have someone… like me.”

“People who just get out of prison don’t get the luxury of having somebody,” he said. “They get to get their lives back together first.” His tone dropped into those low notes of warning that she was starting to recognize as preceding a threat to her sitting abilities. “Close your eyes and go to sleep.”

She closed her eyes, but her mind wouldn’t quiet, and so they only drifted open again a few seconds later. “You did have someone, though, right?” she asked, and even though he sighed again, added, “Someone like me? Once upon a time?”

“Scotti…”

“But you’re too good a Daddy not to have had somebody!” she protested.

She could practically feel the waves of disapproval rolling off him and that frustrated her. She was just asking a question. That he wouldn’t answer and satisfy this one niggling curiosity was killing her! He’d jumped on the Daddy train without her saying one word; there had to be a past Little out there who, once upon a pre-prison time, had looked up to this aggravating lout and felt safe because she was his.

Or maybe the Little was a boy?

“Was your Little a guy?” she asked. “Is that why you don’t want to talk about it? I’m not a mean person. I promise I don’t kink shame or judge.”

He sat up again. “Do you need a hot butt?” he asked, evenly.

“No, but—”

“Two,” he said sternly.

That stopped her. Her tummy and her butt both tightened sharply at the threat, but that minute tightening didn’t last beyond the knee-jerk shock of hearing it. “You can’t start at two,” she grumbled. “It’s illegal to start at two. What happened to one?”

“One was on the stairs earlier tonight when you sprayed me in the face with that female crap.”

“But that was hours ago! You can’t just pick up where you left off, you have to start over every time!”

Kicking back his blankets, he got up off the floor.

“How high do you count?” she asked in increasing nervousness as he came back around to her side of the bed.

“Nowhere near high enough to help you now,” he said, stripping the blanket back off her.

“No!” She all but threw Bat Bear in her haste to get away, but he caught the back of her neck before she could do more than roll onto her tummy. “No!” She scrambled to get her hands and knees up under her.

He killed her flight instantly when he said, “Fight me and I’ll use my belt.”

BLURB:

I was his new beginning. He was my last chance.
I need a husband. Today. Now, if possible. I thought any man would do, but when my first choice is run out of town the day before we’re to be married, I’m forced to consider it when cowboy Gage Pennell proposes. I don’t know him. I’ve never met him before today. Up until a few hours ago, he was working for my nearest and dearest enemy, the same man who wants to steal everything from me.
I’d rather die than let that happen. If my neighbor gets his way, I might. But Gage is more than just good looks and heart-stopping swagger… and I’m desperate.
But, am I this desperate?
I guess we’ll find out, because when my neighbor puts his most ruthless plan yet into action, I’m forced to fight back the only way I can. And in the Wild, Wild West, sometimes it’s the bride who takes the cowboy.

The Bride Takes a Cowboy teaser 2

EXCERPT:

Knowing she’d failed everybody, Millie got up off the floor and walked outside.
The cool night air struck her face, easing the hotness that always flushed her when she got this mad. The sun had gone down, but it wasn’t quite dark yet. The sky was gray, a tinge of orange staining the clouds along the western horizon. She couldn’t see the riders, they were gone. She could barely make out the individual stalks of corn in the field they’d never get to harvest, or the gnarled old desert willow in the pasture where her parents were buried, or the crossbeams and spikes of the cavalry blockades she’d always hated because they were a constant visual reminder that her grandpa wasn’t well. He never would be well again and, in all likelihood, he’d only get worse as time went by. There was nothing she could do about that, just like there was nothing she could do about this.
“Might I have a word with you, Miss Hackett?” Gage asked from the doorway. He said it cheerfully, although he wasn’t smiling when she looked back at him.
“Millie,” she corrected, by way of consent. “Any man willing to cower with me in my kitchen when my neighbor comes to kill everybody has earned the right to call me by my Christian name.”
Now he did smile, but it was only a flash of a thing—there and gone again even before he stepped out into the coolness to stand with her on a porch that wouldn’t be hers for very much longer.
Propping a shoulder against a roof post, he said, “Nice night.”
Yeah, it was.
“Nice breeze. House is positioned just right to catch it.”
“Grandpa built it a long time ago. Daddy helped him expand it, once when he was a boy and again when he was my age and fixing to bring my mama home as his bride.” She turned her face into the breeze, letting it dry the tears she refused to cry.
After a moment of polite silence, Gage said, “Mighty peaceful. A man could get used to spending his life on a porch like this, watching the sun go down after a hard day’s work.”
Which was about how far he had to go before it tickled at Millie that none of this was what he was really trying to say. She looked at him to find he wasn’t studying the sky or the field or the crops or any of the things his comments had suggested he’d been admiring. He was staring straight at her.
“Take your measure of me,” he invited. “My name’s Gage Pennell. I’ve worked hard all my life, wrangling cattle mostly and trail riding, but my daddy was a farmer. I’ve worked fields, built fences, and took care of livestock most my childhood. I’m a good man. Upon occasion, I’ll have me a drink or enjoy a game of chance, but neither rules my life. Whenever I’m in town and not on the trail, I make an effort to put my butt in the pews on Sunday morning. A time or two, I can even be counted upon to stay awake through to the end of service. I’m honest. When I give my word, I keep it. I don’t take to liars, and it’s not my preference to tell them.”
She stared at him, knowing this ought to make more sense than what her brain was making of it, but the longer she listened, the more confused and, oddly, anxious she became. “What are you saying?”
“Hurley Ames,” he specified, nodding vaguely in the direction of her neighbor’s house. “He might think he’s in the right, but the longer I sat listening to that braggart messenger he sent us, the more I began thinking how dead wrong he was about one very important thing.”
“What?” For the life of her, she couldn’t think of anything Hurley—or his messenger—was wrong about. Apart from his tactics.
“Me,” Gage said bluntly. “I find myself standing here before you, Millie, being a man of two parts. First: Despite that braggart’s claims to the contrary, I am not afraid to hitch myself to anyone. Especially not to a woman as stubborn, strong, hard-working, and determined as I can barely comprehend that you must be in order to have dealt with all this on your own up until now. And second: The more I learn about all this, the more I find I don’t got the stomach for ignoring bullies. So,” he said, and it was all Millie could do to focus on the words he was saying and not the glaringly obvious ones he wasn’t. “Having taken my measure of you and given you everything you need to take yours of me, let me ask you a question…”

BLURB:

In Vegas for a cousin’s wedding, the last thing Daniel Fortner is looking for is a marriage of his own. But then Gwen crashes—literally—into his life and suddenly Daniel can’t stop running. She’s a pickpocket, a car thief, a boat thief, the woman who roofied him for his own good, and quite possibly the most fun he’s had in years. He never meant to marry her, but once the bullets and heart-stopping kisses start flying, how can he possibly let her go?

Unexpectedly His kindle banner

EXCERPT:

“I think I’d rather have you shoot me.” Daniel spread his arms, but did not approach. “You say I don’t have any options, but you know, I don’t think you do either. Six other people saw you guys come in here. Everything you’re doing is being recorded to an offsite location. So go ahead, shoot me. Because I’m not leaving with you and neither is she.”
Chuckling all over again, even less amused than before, Gray Suit opened his coat to show them the butt of the pistol holstered to his chest. “You want to know how much I care about the witnesses or the camera, you go ahead and ask me that again. You won’t even have to say please.”
Stepping out from behind him, Brown Suit opened his coat too, showing them he was also armed. He didn’t say anything. His dead-eyed stare did all the talking for him.
Gwen jumped when the chapel door swung open, and the wedding coordinator came bouncing out again, forcing the gunmen to hide both weapons once more. “Next,” she said cheerfully.
Daniel grabbed her arm. “That’s us, honey.”
Her knees almost buckled, but Gwen went where he pushed her, stumbling past the Suits and into the overly white chapel. The gunmen tried to follow, but the blonde blocked their way. “I’m sorry, are you gentlemen part of the wedding party?”
“Never seen them before in my life,” Daniel replied, hustling Gwen down the narrow aisle.
“Then I’m sorry, you both will just have to wait out here.”
Before she closed the door, Gwen looked back, shivering as Gray Suit locked his eyes on her and pointedly straightened his jacket. “We’ll be waiting.”
Like she wasn’t scared enough as it was.
“Yeah, you do that.” Rubbing a hand over his mouth and down his chin, Daniel swept the room with narrowed eyes. Gwen followed his stare to the rear exit just behind the altar, stage, and Elvis Presley look‑alike. Dressed in a white sequined suit and half-cape, he stood with a Bible tucked under one arm and a spritz bottle, with which he was currently lozenging his throat. He swished it through it his mouth before grinning at her, tossing a wink and striking a pose. “Welcome to Reverend Love’s Wedding Chapel.”
“Have you folks got a license?” The coordinator came to them, beaming her cheerful smile and holding out her hand.
“Actually, we’ve been talking and we’re wondering if we shouldn’t take a day to consider this a little longer. So, if it’s okay with you…” Catching Gwen’s arm, Daniel hustled her down the short aisle and past the stage.
“Oh, hey,” Elvis said, losing his smile before hurrying to block their path. “Marriage is a big step, and if you’re not ready, well, that’s okay. You shouldn’t make this commitment unless you are, however” —he thumbed over his shoulder— “you can’t go out that door.”
“Why not?” Gwen asked. The back door was less than ten feet away. They’d have to knock Elvis out of the way to get to it, but she could all but feel the clock ticking precious seconds away. If thoughts of a back door weren’t already planted in the minds of both gunmen, she had no doubt it would sprout there soon enough. They had to get out of here, and that door was their best option.
“That door,” Elvis said, as if he could hear her thoughts, “is the doorway to Happily Ever After.”
It had a sign that read those very words: Happily Ever After, in the scrolling font of a fairytale storybook.
“This church,” Elvis told them, “has been marrying folks for 142 years. It’s stood here on this very spot long before the casinos, before Bugsy Siegel, before even the Hoover Dam. In all that time, that door has been the first each newly married couple has stepped through on their journey through the rest of their repurposed lives. This is more than just a doorway, folks, this is a tradition.”
“Okay,” Daniel caved, holding up soothing hands. “We promise we’ll come back tomorrow—”
“And when you do,” Elvis replied in the exact same, soothing tone, “then you can use this door. In the meantime, the front door is right back the way you came.”
Right back down the aisle and out into the reception area, where the Suits were waiting for them. Gwen and Daniel looked at each other.
Daniel found his smile again. “Get your license, babe. Looks like we’re getting married.”
