REVIEW – NOBODY BUT YOU BY JILL SHALVIS

nobody but you cover
From New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis…

SOMETIMES YOU CAN GO HOME AGAIN . . .
After an overseas mission goes wrong, Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid knows where he must go to make things right: back home to the tiny town of Cedar Ridge, Colorado. All he needs to scrub away his painful past is fresh mountain air, a lakeside cabin, and quiet solitude. But what he discovers is a gorgeous woman living on a boat at his dock.

Sophie Marren has nowhere else to go. She’s broke, intermittently seasick, and fighting a serious attraction to the brooding, dishy, I’m-too-sexy-for-myself guy who’s now claiming her dock. Something about Jacob’s dark intensity makes her want to tease-and tempt-him beyond measure. Neither one wants to give any ground . . . until they realize the only true home they have is with each other.

NOBODY BUT YOU is Jill Shalvis at her best!!!! The characters and story line are very well-developed. Sophie had ended her marriage and the only thing she wanted wad the boat. Now she is sea-sick, broke, and trying to find a place to moor the boat for the night. Who would have known she would get seasick.  Now enters Jacob and informs her that she could not dock her boat there. She leaves and finds another place to moor the boat. She has taken a few temporary jobs  to help with her money situation, since she was fired from her last job. Jacob is in town to try and patch things up with his twin, but now he is focused on Sophie. I loved this book, and Sophie and Jacob. If you have not read this series, I urge you to read it. I give NOBODY BUT YOU 5/5 STARS.

REVIEW – MY KIND OF WONDERFUL BY JILL SHALVIS

cover my kind of wonderfulUNEXPECTED AND UNDENIABLE . . .

Bailey Moore has an agenda: skiing in the Rockies, exploring castles in Europe, ballroom dancing in Argentina. Now that she has a second lease on life, she’s determined not to miss a thing. What she doesn’t realize is that item #1 comes with a six-foot-one ski god hot enough to melt a polar ice cap. She doesn’t want to miss out on him either, but Hudson Kincaid isn’t the type of guy to love and let go. And as gorgeous as Cedar Ridge is, she’s not planning to stick around.

As head of ski patrol at his family’s resort, Hud thinks he’s seen it all. But never has he run into someone like Bailey. She might look delicate, but her attitude is all firecracker. And her infectious joy touches something deep within him that he’s been missing far too long. Now he’ll just have to convince Bailey to take a chance on her biggest adventure yet . . . something rare and all kinds of wonderful.

Jill Shalvis keeps doing a wonderful job in writing great stories.  MY KIND OF WONDERFUL is a celebration of life, love and hope. Bailey has lived on death’s door since she was fifteen, and now she wants to do everything that she couldn’t do before. She has gotten her second clean bill of health by the doctor. So now she is going to Cedar Ridge to do a mural for the lodge. She first meets Hudson and he thinks she is going to jump. She tells him that she is not going to jump, but has only got lost. She has read the map for the slopes wrong. She only wants to live now that she has been a dead girl walking. This is such a great book and series that I recommend it to everyone. Hudson is a very hunky man and I want one for Christmas. I give MY KIND OF WONDERFUL 5/5 STARS.

CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE REVIEW- SECOND CHANCE SUMMER BY JILL SHALVIS

second chance summer
RESCUE ME

Cedar Ridge, Colorado, is famous for crisp mountain air, clear blue skies, and pine-scented breezes. And it’s the last place Lily Danville wants to be. But she needs a job, and there’s an opening at the hottest resort in her hometown. What has her concerned is the other hot property in Cedar Ridge: Aidan Kincaid-firefighter, rescue worker, and heartbreaker. She never could resist that devastating smile . . .

The Kincaid brothers are as rough and rugged as the Rocky Mountains they call home. Aidan has always done things his own way, by his own rules. And never has he regretted anything more than letting Lily walk out of his life ten years ago. If anyone has ever been in need of rescuing, she has. What she needs more than anything are long hikes, slow dances, and sizzling kisses. But that can only happen if he can get her to give Cedar Ridge-and this bad boy-a second chance . . .

SECOND CHANCE SUMMER is another great book from Jill Shalvis. As always her characters and story come to life, pulling you in and not letting you go until you have finished the book. Lily is coming back to Cedar ridge after a fallout at her other job. Now she is needing a new start and somewhere to let the gossip to die down. She just has to keep her distance from Aidan. She has always had feelings for him, but when her little sister wanted him also,  she stepped back and let her have him. Aiden‘s feelings for Lily are still strong and he has to convince her that are meant to be together. This is such a great novel that it will have you rooting for Lily and Aiden to get together. Jill Shalvis always delivers a great read, and I am never disappointed. I give SECOND CHANCE SUMMER 5/5 STARS.

“ALWAYS ON MY MIND” BY JILL SHALVIS

ALWAYS ON MY MIND

Today, I just started reading ALWAYS ON MY MIND BY JILL SHALVIS. This is part of her Lucky Harbor Series, featuring Jack Harper and Leah Sullivan, who are longtime friends who grew up together in Lucky Harbor. Only Jack does not know that Leah has had a thing for him ever since they were young, but now Leah tells a lie to his Mom that they are a couple so she won’t think she is the reason that Jack can’t find a lasting relationship. This makes his mom so happy that he can’t tell her it is not true, so they continue the lie. Will their friendship suffer, or will LOVE, AND COMMITMENT BLOOM OUT OF THIS LIE.

I am only 38 pages into the book and it is already getting good. So once I finish it I will give you my review and recommendations on the book.  So happy reading.  : )
