COVER REVEAL-BETWEEN NOW AND NEVER BY LAURA JOHNSTON

HERE IS THE COVER FOR LAURA JOHNSTON’S NEW BOOK!

Between Now & Never

BOOK DESCRIPTION

A convict’s daughter should never fall for an FBI agent’s son, certainly not a teenager like Julianna Schultz who is furious over her mother’s incarceration and the injustice of it all. But that’s exactly what seventeen-year-old Julianna finds herself doing when Cody Rush, the cocky son of the FBI agent who put her mom behind bars, moves into her hometown of Gilbert, Arizona.

Cody Rush—studious, principled, athletic, good looking and blond to boot—is everything Julianna hates, or so she thinks. Yet a series of ill-fated events one night brings them dangerously close, entangling the futures of two people who were never meant to be.

LAURA JOHNSTON

Laura Johnston lives in sunny Arizona with her husband and two children. Growing up in Utah with five siblings, a few horses, peach trees, beehives and gardens, she developed an active imagination and always loved a good story. She fell in love with the young adult genre both through her experience in high school as well as her job later as a high school teacher. Laura enjoys running, playing tennis, sewing, dancing (deduced to dancing around the kitchen while cooking dinner these days), traveling, writing, writing and more writing, and above all, spending time with her husband and kids. REWIND TO YOU is her debut novel. Visit her website at laurajohnstonauthor.com

blood of dawn tami dane

Book Description

December 4, 2012
For brilliant paranormal profiler Sloan Skye, a reluctant trip into her past will bring her face to face with a killer who shouldn’t exist. . .Being a skeptic is somehow making Sloan Skye one of the best profilers in the FBI‘s new Paranormal Behavioral Analysis Unit. True, her so-called love life isn’t any less tangled, but she’s beginning to believe she’s found a place where her uber-geek smarts and her more out-there methods fit perfectly.Unfortunately, all the incredible things she’s seen can’t prepare Sloan for the ultimate horror show. . .returning to her old high school. Someone–or some thing–is draining blood out of local teenage girls while they sleep. And the only way Sloan can solve the case is to push past her training and surrender to powers beyond her formidable logic to root out one very elusive killer. . .”An engaging police procedural paranormal starring a likeable heroine. . .fast-paced.” –Genre Go Round Reviews

“A refreshing paranormal series. . .mystery and intrigue, new exciting paranormal creatures, and the possibility of a love triangle. . .” –Paranormaladdicts.com

“Strong, snappy. . .entertaining!” —RT Book Reviews, 4 stars

Each book in this series gets better and better. Sloan has to go back to high school, for something or someone is killing girls while they are asleep.  There is no signs of forced entry, so how are they getting in? To me this would be torture, for I did not like high school.  Her love life is a regular soap opera. This book has well-developed characters and story line, with characters that help to move the story along.  I love this series and I give this boo 4/5 stars.

When the suspect guns for someone very close to Sloan, it’s time to throw out the rules and face her deepest fears…

BLOOD OF INNOCENCE has well-developed character and story line. They have a nasty serial killer , who kills pregnant woman and drains their blood like a vampire. At one point in the story, Sloan and JT stopped to get breakfast on their way to re-check the crime scenes and when they came out JT’s car was on fire. Sloan’s computer and go to bag was destroyed.  Her dad who she thought was dead is now back with her mom, and her mom is pregnant. We have a little romance going on with Sloan liking two men, but she keeps them at arm’s length. This a great installment to the series with paranormal mystery and a little romance. I loved  BLOOD OF INNOCENCE  and i give it 4/5 stars.

December 6, 2011
This mind-blowing new series introduces Sloan Skye, an ambitious intern at the FBI‘s paranormal unit, where the usual rules of crime fighting don’t apply. . .Sloan has a sky-high IQ, a chaotic personal life, and a dream: to work for the FBI. Her goal is within reach until an error lands her with the FBI’s ugly stepchild: the new Paranormal Behavioral Analysis Unit. She’ll get to profile criminals, but the pool of suspects is a little more. . .diverse. Yet even as Sloan tackles her first case–a string of victims, all with puncture wounds to the neck–she can’t silence her inner para-skeptic.To catch the killer she’ll have to think like one. That means casting aside her doubts, and dealing with bizarre nightmares that started with the job. But the strangeness is only beginning, as Sloan pieces together the shocking truth about a case that’s more personal than she ever would have guessed.

I really enjoyed BLOOD OF EDEN, and the book did go into many directions as stated in other reviews that I read. I don’t believe it took away from the story, but helped the story along. Sloan Skye’s dream of going to work for the FBI,  but it is shot down.  Then she is assigned to the PBAU  (paranormal behavioral analysis unit). Where she learns that there is more out there than she knew. Now she has to figure out what is killing people and why she is having these dreams. She is still a skeptic and not about to believe that there is a vampire on the loose. Tami Dane was able to create believable characters, and a well-developed story line. Like I said i loved the book and therefore I give it 5/ 5 stars.

Here are the other books in the series.

BOOK 2Blood of Innocence (Sloane Skye)
BOOK 3Blood of Dawn (Sloane Skye)
