A lion’s pride isn’t defined only by those he commands but also resides with his hair, so when a human dares to butcher Arik’s mane, he gets his revenge–and claims her as his mate.
A billionaire CEO and leader of the largest East Coast pride, Arik is a ladies man and a lion. Used to commanding others, and obedience, he can’t believe it when a hairdresser with tempting curves chops off a hunk of his precious mane.
But her biggest mistake is in running from him.
Run as fast as you can, little mouse, because this cat loves to chase–and pounce.
Oh, and he also likes to nibble on tender bits. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a human woman, a woman who can make the impossible happen because everyone knows lions can’t purr…until now.

WHEN AN ALPHA PURRS is a Purrrrfect start to a new series. From the first chapter the antics of Arik and Kira had me laughing. Arik is the Alpha of his Pride, and he is also very vain about his hair. When he goes to get his hair cut, his barber, is out-of-town and he cannot wait until he comes back. He demands Kira to cut his hair, when she is cutting his hair, she lops off a larger piece. This leaves a gap in his hair. She flees his wrath, and he follows. He senses that she is his mate. He looses her and goes to the office with a hat on. He goes back later and asks her nicely to correct the mistake. She does it because she feels bad that she did that to one of her grandfather’s clients. He is even better looking with shorter hair. When he asks her to dine with him that evening she tries to leave town. He catches her and takes her out anyway. When he takes her back to her apartment above the shop, he smell a wolf has recently been there. There was also written on the wall of the shop a warning for Kira. She lets Arik know that she left because of an ex-boyfriend who became obsessed with her, and was abusive. Now he has followed her here. Arik must keep Kira safe all the while trying to neutralize the threat to her. The antics of the other pride members, especially the females of the pride, will have you laughing out loud. I love Eve Langlais’ books. I give WHEN AN ALPHA PURRS 5/5 STARS.

A bullheaded moose doesn’t stand a chance when a fox decides to make him her mate.
Boris left to defend his country still a boy. He came back a changed man. A damaged man.
But Jan still wants him.
A man of few words, Boris has a firm way of saying No, but this determined vixen knows he’s her mate. Despite some less than subtle overtures, Jan has not had much success in getting her bullheaded moose to notice her, but all that changes when her life is put in danger.
Suddenly the damaged soldier keeps finding excuses to come to her rescue, but as far as Jan is concerned, her mate is the one in need of saving.
It will take some subtle maneuvering to outfox her moose into admitting he loves her, but this wily vixen is more than ready for the challenge. And if that doesn’t work, momma’s offered to
loan her the shot gun used for her own engagement.

W..W..W… is a bookish meme that is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. To participate you just have to answer 3 questions.
1.What are you currently reading?
What book did you recently finish?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I am reading an ARC that I received from Netgalley called HE’S SO FINE BY JILL SHALVIS.
I recently finished TASTE OF DARKNESS BY KATIE REUS.
I have many books to choose from, I might read THE LABYRINTH WALL (OBSIDEN SERIES BK 1) BY EMILYANN GIRDNER -YA, NIGHT’ S END (AN INDIGO COURT NOVEL) BY YASMINE GALENORN, KODIAK’S CLAIM BY EVE LANGLAIS, REVANANT BY KAT RICHARDSON, IN YOUR DREAMS BY KRISTAN HIGGINS, FLIGHT FROM HELL BY YASMINE GALENORN.
It is so hard to choose, because I want to read them all now. As we know I can’t., so I will have to choose. What are you reading right now? Let me know, because I might put it on my list.
A career military man, Viktor lives for the next mission – and his collection of weapons — but a raid on an experimental lab makes him an unwilling protector, mostly because he can’t peel Renee off. A cold-blooded croc, he never intended to settle down, but he didn’t count on a foxy lady warming his heart. The world outside the laboratory was a big scary place. Frightened, Renee latches onto the biggest, baddest, and sexiest, warrior around. Sharp toothed and with ice in his veins, Viktor’s violent side should have sent her running, but instead, she finds the courage to face her fears –and tame the lizard. Warning: An ornery croc discovers he does have a pulse when a hot to trot fox decides to latch on, and never let go. Tongue in cheek humor, sizzling moments and a tiny, evil villain await.
Croc and the Fox is a fun and sexy read that will have you laughing out loud. The characters and story line are well-developed. Renee has been experimented on and has no memories of where she comes from. When the FUC agents raid a facility that they believe is the place where the mastermind who is experimenting on shifters, Victor ends up rescuing one sexy fox. Renee clings to Victor and she feels safe in his arms. When Victor loses his heart to this sweet vixen he is forever lost. Renee has to learn how to let her foxy self loose, so when Victor’s life is threatened she lets her fox out to hunt. Croc and the Fox had me laughing so much that I had tears steaming down my face, and almost falling out of my chair.
Eve Langlais knows how to write humor in a way to get the maximum number of laughs. These mismatched characters balance each other out perfectly. If you have never read an Eve Langlais book, I highly recommend you read all of the FUC series. So, I give Croc and the Fox 5/5 stars.
Screw honey, this bear craves chocolate.
Mason, a true ladies man and a big teddy of a bear, is on a mission to protect the shifter community. Who is he to complain if that task requires him to guard FUC‘s tech wizard–a curvy mocha hottie who knows how to bring him to his knees.
Jessie has no patience for a bear who flirts every time he breathes. Despite his appeal, and smoking good looks, she refuses to give in to his charm. She can’t because this swan princess is already promised to another.
When an evil mastermind sets his sights on her, will one playful bear be enough to save her feathery tail from danger? And if Mason manages to steal her heart who will save him from her daddy–the not-so-nice swan king?

If you loved Bunny and the Bear then you will absolutely love Swan and the Bear. It is a sexy, steamy, rolling on the floor laughing good time of a read. Eve Langlais never disappoints in delivering the humor in a story. Mason is a ladies man and flirts with every woman he sees. He is on a mission to protect FUC’s tech geek from a criminal mastermind, and he don’t mind at all. Jessie loves working at the FUC headquarters, because it has nothing to do with her father the King of the Swans and nothing to do with being a Princess. When a big ol’Bear starts sniffing around she has to hold him off, for she is promised to another.
This is a really funny book it had me busting out laughing while my family was watching a show, and they had to shush me. I actually had to leave the room so they could watch their movie in peace. The sex scenes in Swan and The Bear were very steamy, that they had you wanting to take a cold shower afterwards. Eve Langlais really knows how to do character development and how to move the story line along smoothly. I highly recommend this book and series to everyone. I give Swan and the Bear 5/5 stars.
