REVIEW- BREAKOUT BY ANN AGUIRRE

breakout
All hell is breaking loose in the edge-of-your-seat follow-up to Havoc and Perdition from New York Times bestselling author Ann Aguirre…

The prison ship Perdition has become a post-battle charnel house with only a handful of Dred’s soldiers still standing and now being hunted by Silence’s trained tongueless assassins. Forging an uneasy alliance with mercenary commander Vost—who is their only chance at escape—the Dread Queen will do whatever it takes to end her life sentence on Perdition and keep the survivors alive long enough to cobble together a transport capable of getting them off station.

If Dred and her crew can win the deadly game of cat and mouse, the payoff is not only life but freedom—a prize sweeter than their wildest dreams. Yet the sadistic Silence would rather destroy Perdition than let a single soul slip from her grasp…

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

BREAKOUT is a roller coaster of a ride. The characters and story line is well-developed. Dred and the gang have to find a way off the prison ship Perdition, but they have to stay alive. Silence’s people are looking for Dred and her gang to kill them. Dred and the rest of the gang have to cobble together a  ship that will actually fly and not kill them if they run out of air. This book is gritty, action packed and I love it. Ann Aguirre is a master at storytelling. Dred is the perfect kick-ass heroine. I love this series and this book, and I recommend it to everyone. I give BREAKOUT 5/5 STARS.

The second book in THE DRED CHRONICLES, HAVOC is mind-blowing and full of non-stop action. Ann Aguirre has a hit on her hands again. HAVOC has well-developed characters and story line.Dresdemona “Dred” Devos was sentenced to Perdition for life. Now the  Conglomerate wants to re-purpose the facility and make it something other than a jail for some of the worst criminals out there. When Mercs show up to change the criminals sentence from life to death, the Dred has to protect the people of Queensland from being wiped out. Now they have to fight for their life. Not only do they have to worry about the Mercs, but the other inmates, Mungo’s people and Silence’s people. This is a great series and book. If you area fan of her Sirantha Jax series, you will love this series. I give HAVOC  5/ 5 stars.
