I’ve never believed in love at first sight, which is probably why I write mysteries, and not romances, for a living. Besides, I’m too focused on expanding Elementary, a mystery dinner party business I own with my brother Noah. I don’t have time for romance.
When the handsome and successful Ian Crane books our services, I can barely keep my wits about me. He’s setting fire to all my rules, and I can’t resist his flames.
I don’t recognize the woman I’m becoming, but I don’t want to go back to who I was. There’s a part of me that can’t help wondering, what if he’s too good to be true? Because if he is, my heart will be nothing more than ashes.
Heat rating: Toasty warm, with plenty of flames.

I was given a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review.
CROSSING THE LINE is a sweet, sexy read. The characters and story line are well-developed. I read this in just under and hour, it had me so entranced that I could not put it down. The story is about Ella Storm and Ian Crane. Ella is part owner of Elementary a a mystery dinner party business. She has been hired by Ian to play at his birthday party. When they both meet sparks fly, but will they be able to give each other their heart without getting it broken. I give CROSSING THE LINE 5/5 STARS. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES TO EVERYONE.
Hello!!! How is everyone doing? Sorry, that I have not posted in a while. There has not been a whole lot going on since Cissy moved out with her family. It has been a little boring around her. My masters mother had Carotid Endarterectomy. Carotid endarterectomy is surgery to remove plaque buildup in the carotid arteries. She is doing fine, just taking a while for her to get back to normal.
On another note, I have been helping my master study. She is taking a course online for copyediting and proofreading. She is trying to make a change in her career and this is the first step to that. So, that is all I am doing right now. I will talk with you later. Charlie out.
I received a new haircut the other day. I didn’t want the haircut, but that is what happens when you get stuck in sticky grass. First, I got sticky grass on both sides of my snout, and had to have it cut out. Then later I was chasing a cat and got stuck in a patch of sticky grass and my master had to get me loose. This time the sticky grass was on top of my head. When I got into the house, I ground the sticky grass in my fur more. I thought I was helping to get it out. My master could not brush it out, so she gave me a bath to see if the shampoo would help to get it to release.Guess what? It didn’t! 🙁 She was able to get some out, but there was still a large patch hanging on.
They had to get the scissors out, and cut it loose. I look like I have a buzz cut on top of my head and my snout is almost clean-cut. I look kinda funny, but my master loves me anyway. Tomorrow I have to go to the Vet to have a tooth removed that is giving me problems. I can’t eat hard food, like my cookies, because they make my mouth hurt. The Vet said that it looks like it was shoved up and laying down on the other teeth. That is why it hurts. So, tonight after a certain time I cannot eat or drink anything. I have been fighting this tooth ache for a while.I guess tomorrow or the next day I will have more adventures for you. Charlie out.
I thought I would drop you a few lines about how things are going. Sorry I have been silent in my posting. I have been going out with my master to get supper a few nights a week. It has been a
blast to ride in the truck and to be seen around town. People are always friendly and waving at me.
When we get go Sonic she let’s me order my chili cheese tots. I always get a laugh out of the carhop. Cissy has been gone this weekend, do it has been quiet. I didn’t get to do much outside, because it rained all weekend. The only part of the rain that I did not like is walking in it and getting my feet wet.
Well I am going to call it a night. Until next time Charlie out.
It was the night before Christmas and the masters forgot to lock me up. I sat in front of the Christmas tree watching the lights blink on and off. When I heard such a ruckus on the roof around the fireplace. I run to the other room to see what was going on, when I see some dog cookies bounce across the floor. I rush to get them, because I like cookies so much. When a jolly, fat man pops out of the fireplace without a speck of soot on him. With a twinkle in his eyes, and his Rosie cheeks he bends down and pets me and tells me what a good girl I have been. He then straightens up slings his bag on his shoulder and continues toward the Christmas tree.
He then starts to pull out presents to put under the tree. A few for Jade, Wendell, Tom, a few more for Kirk, Jennetta, Gladys and Jennifer. Then he starts to pull out the ones for Chester, Cissy, and then Me. I had a new bed, toy, harness, and a Dallas Cowboys jersey. He then left a few more things in the stockings, and away he went. To give more joy to every boy, girl, dog, and I guess cat, and a few others. I won’t tell anyone that I met Santa, for that is my secret. My little Christmas miracle, because before I did not believe.
I look outside way up into the sky, and I see his sleigh, and it starts to snow. I smile and I know that tomorrow will be a very good day. For I got to see Santa, a site so few get to see. So if you are very good, and patient you just might get to see him too. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM CHARLIE AND HER FAMILY.
