Blogging All-in-One For Dummies, 2nd Edition cuts through the clutter and offers you a fun and friendly reference guide to starting and maintaining a successful blog.
This is a great book for beginners, it is laid out in an easy format. It is also easy on the checkbook, because you don’t have to buy all eight books individually. That is a big savings. You can actually start with whichever book you want, because they are individual books. I didn’t even know they had something called niche blogging before I read this book. This is definitely worth reading. I give this Blogging All-in-One For Dummies a 5/ 5 stars.

I really liked this book, it helped me in setting up my wordpress.com blog. I set up my site in Sept. of this year and it has been doing really well. The book was really easy to understand, and implement everything that was applicable for my wordpress.com site. It also goes over how to set up a wordpress.org site also. The difference in the two sites is that the wordpress.com is a hosted site. This means wordpress hosts your site on their server, and you don’t have to do anything, but pick a theme, choose your layout, set up your widgets, and start posting. You might have to do some adjustments as you go to get the right feel. WordPress.org is a self hosted site, this means you find a web host to host your blog. Then you have to transfer everything to your new site, and after you set up your own theme, plug-ins, and widgets. Wordpress.org has a little more to it than wordpress.com, but with this book you will be able to set it up with less of a headache. I recommend this book to anyone who is thinking of starting a wordpress blog, whether it is wordpress.com or wordpress.org. So I give this book 5/5 stars
I was recently asked this question in one of my comments. They asked if I accept guest writers on my blog. Now, I have been thinking about this since I first started writing my blog. I knew it would be a way to get more content on my site and to help others to get more recognition for their writing. When you try to do all the writing yourself, sometimes it is hard to come up with fresh, and interesting material.
There is so many book reviews that you can do with out sounding like a broken record. If all you did was reviews, then your audience would get bored and move on to a site with something better. So having a guest writer or blogger will help in keeping your content fresh for the reader, and also keep you from getting a lot of headaches in trying to come up with new and better content. So, if you would like to become a guest writer on this blog, please leave me a message in the comments. I will then formally send you an invite to become a contributor to this blog. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you.
It is hard trying to come up with new things to write about on my blog. I have not been doing this for very long and it kind of feels like jumping out of a plane with no parachute. You never know if your next post is going to be a hit with your audience or if you will make a big splat on the pavement. I keep reading different blogs to get ideas of what I can do with my blog to attract more readers, but I don’t want to be another carbon copy of the others.
I want to have something that will stand out from the other blogs, and have people talking. I try to put a little humor into my posts, but that is just me. I had one friend at work that commented that she never knew what was going to come out of my mouth. They always thought I was this sweet and nice person until they really got to know me. I always warned them that, I have to hide my horns under my hat. Soon I will have this all worked out and have my post planned with what I want to write. By then I should have some engaging and exciting content that will make you come back for more. So be patient and I will have it all worked out soon, until then I will try to post more of Charlie’s World, and How To Catch A Human.
It is time for bed, so I will talk with you some more tomorrow. Happy reading

HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS.
1. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
The enjoyment that my blog brings to others, and connecting with my audience.
2. Why did you start a blog?
It was a way to pass the time while I am on a leave of absence from work, while I am waiting to see if I need surgery on my knee. it gives me a break from reading books.
3. Do you prefer “real” books or will you also read on an e-reader?
I read both, because there are some books that I have to have and they are only on the e-reader or they are “real” books. So I ended up going to both, also I started to run out of room to put the printed “real” books, it also was a storage issue.
4. While on vacation do you stop by that area’s library just to check it out? If so why?
No, I go someplace out of the way to go fishing where no one is around and take my own books. This way I have peace and quiet.
5. What was your favorite book as a child?
Paddington Bear all of them.
6. If you and your favorite character could meet up for lunch, where would you go?
Someplace that served really good Chinese food. I love Chinese food.
7. Where is your favorite place to read?
Anywhere, but usually in my favorite chair in the living room.
8. Do you have a preferred genre?
I tend to read more URBAN FANTASY/PARANORMAL ROMANCE.
9. If you could live in a fictional place (inside a book) where would you live?
I would probably live in the world of KATE DANIELS BY ILONA ANDREWS. Just to see the by play between Kate and Curran would be great.
