Bitten is a wonderful novel that take a whole new spin on the werewolf genre. It’s characters are well-developed, and the story pulls you in and does not let you go until the very last page. Elena is one kick ass female character and werewolf, and does not take any crap from anyone. She is the only woman to survive being bitten by a werewolf, all the others have died. There are no females born with the wolf gene, they are passed down in the male line from father to son. Clay is her mate and is very protective of her. She is brought back into the Pack when strange murders start occurring in New York. The different characters help to move the story along, and providing a mix of humor, seriousness, and darkness to the story. If you are looking for a fun, dark, sexy read, then this is the one for you.
They are also making this into a T.V. Series on the SyFy channel January 13,2014 on Space channel January 11, 2013. If you were a fan of Smallville and caught the last few seasons, then you have seen the lead for Bitten. Laura Vandervoort will star in the 13-part series. I give this book 5/5 stars.
I want to know what your opinion is of whether or not you think that SYFY will do justice to KELLEY ARMSTRONG’S “BITTEN”? By looking at the trailer it looks not too bad. The werewolves could use a little more work. Also I hope they don’t go too of course from the book. Sometimes when they make books into T.V. series they take a little bit more liberty with them to make them more interesting so they can compete with the movies at the theaters. Also they just don’t cast the right person that we think fits the character that we picture in our minds, because when we read the book we are forming our own image of that character. Sometimes Hollywood just does not have the same vision that we do.
They fall short and then they just ruin the story for us. They will also add parts that are not in the book just to add more drama, but what they don’t know is that we book junkiez love our stories they way they are. So I guess we will just have to wait and see if the fall short or if they knock it out of the park. Let me know what your opinion is.
