As the guitarist for the rock bandCaged, I know the rules: no relationships. No complications. Leave ‘em smiling when you go, but always go. Besides, it’s not like I’m ever in one place for more than a few days at a time. As the next hottest thing out of Austin, the band and I are riding the wave, and the music is all that matters.
Lily Tennison has “complication” written across her beautiful face. But I can’t get involved. The timing’s all wrong. But she’s under my skin, and I can’t resist her troubled eyes and sweet smile. And I do have a little time to kill. Not much, just a few days in Dallas.
So I’ll scratch the itch and move on, like I always do.
Note: You won’t need to turn up the heat—Sixth Street Bands Romances have plenty of steamy fun. This story can be read as a stand-alone but is part of the Sixth Street Bands music scene.

GONE FOR YOU is a great start to this series. The characters and story line are very well-developed. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Cameron is part of the band Caged, and when he meets Lily, he knows he has to have her. Lily doesn’t know what to do with Cameron, but for one weekend she will follow her heart. This is such a great book, and I recommend it to everyone. This is a sweet and funny story that you will be rooting for them to get together. I give GONE FOR YOU 5/5 STARS.
“Why don’t you come in?”
I was startled again by the sound of him, of his deep, alluring tone. I didn’t realize I was still hovering in the doorway. Closing most of the gap between us, I moved to one of the chairs.
I hooked my bag onto the back of it, his fingers slicing through the air as they reached for mine.
“Call me Derek.” He enclosed my hand with a pressing strength that I assumed was lightened for my benefit.
Though his stare remained on my face, I wasn’t able to keep mine on his. I needed a break, a second to get myself under control.
I had obviously lost that, though I didn’t understand why. Polished men were all I knew, all I had ever been attracted to: groomed and well-dressed, pretty and sharp, even cocky and somewhat selfish. They were certainly never burly or animalistic like Derek. So why was he having this kind of physical effect on me?

Trying to keep her emotions, and by proxy her magic, under control, she avoids the supernatural community and all the drama that entails. Unfortunately, other people have plans for her and won’t let her remain a loner. Forced to confront a manic witch who has designs on her powers, she turns to the owner of a supernatural watering hole, The Witches Den, in hopes that he can help and protect her, while trying to avoid the sexual tension that, literally, causes flames to dance.

When a stranger tells her she’s a mage, Ailith is intrigued but she’s also afraid. Magic is heresy, and heresy means death under the Temple Law. Even literacy is suspect in a girl of her background, and her sister’s impending wedding only serves as a reminder that she should be focusing on her future. Then a local priest asks her to rescue his son, and she starts to wonder if her talents could be a blessing, after all.
The Lord Baron of Watersmeet, Leofwin isn’t accustomed to welcoming uninvited visitors. A commoner turning up at his gates should be no more than a minor footnote to his day, but something about Ailith catches his attention. Alchemy can be lonely work and an apprentice might be just what he needs.
As their lessons grow into shared experiments, Leofwin wonders if he might even trust her with his greatest challenge. But Ailith can’t forget why she came to the castle.
I was given a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review, all opinions are my own.
WATERSMEET has great world building, a great storyline, and well-developed characters. Ailith is a potter’s daughter, and when she accidentally makes a green glaze that when applied to the pots and when they fired, the pot will not break where the glaze is applied. Ailith goes to Watersmeet to apprentice under Leofwin, The Lord Baron of Watersmeet. Here she learns to control her magic and finds out secrets about Watersmeet that could cost him his life. I loved this book with its many intriguing aspect of magic and Alchemy. I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good tale. I give WATERSMEET 5/ 5 STARS.
