Return to national bestselling author Devon Monk‘s heart pounding House Immortal series, where eleven powerful Houses control the world and all its resources. But now, the treaty between them has been broken, and no one—not even the immortal galvanized—is safe….
Matilda Case isn’t normal. Normal people aren’t stitched together, inhumanly strong, and ageless, as she and the other galvanized are. Normal people’s bodies don’t hold the secret to immortality—something the powerful Houses will kill to possess. And normal people don’t know that they’re going to die in a few days.
Matilda’s fight to protect the people she loves triggered a chaotic war between the Houses and shattered the world’s peace. On the run, she must find a way to stop the repeat of the ancient time experiment that gifted her and the other galvanized with immortality. Because this time, it will destroy her and everything she holds dear.
Caught in a cat-and-mouse game of lies, betrayal, and unseen foes, Matilda must fight to save the world from utter destruction. But time itself is her enemy, and every second brings her one step closer to disaster….
I WAS GIVEN A COPY OF THIS BOOK BY NETGALLEY FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.
INFINITY BELL is just as good as the first book, if not better. The cast of characters, the story line and the world-building is just phenomenal. Matilda (Tilly) Case is one of the Galvanized. The last one to be woken up, when her brother put her conscience in a Galvanized body when hers was dying. Tilly now must go back in time and fix the Wings of Mercy experiment that gave them life. For when time finally catches up the Galvanized will lose their lives. By going back in time and fixing the calculation of the original experiment will make sure that the Galvanized are created but they will stay alive. To make this happen they will have to escape being captured by the houses that want them dead. I LOVE THIS BOOK AND SERIES. I was on the edge of my seat while I was reading this book and then I was at the end of the book. I wanted more when the book was done. Now I have to wait to see what happens until the next book. If I could give this book a 10, I would. I give INFINITY BELL 5/5 stars. I urge you to read this series. You will not be disappointed.

When a stranger tells her she’s a mage, Ailith is intrigued but she’s also afraid. Magic is heresy, and heresy means death under the Temple Law. Even literacy is suspect in a girl of her background, and her sister’s impending wedding only serves as a reminder that she should be focusing on her future. Then a local priest asks her to rescue his son, and she starts to wonder if her talents could be a blessing, after all.
The Lord Baron of Watersmeet, Leofwin isn’t accustomed to welcoming uninvited visitors. A commoner turning up at his gates should be no more than a minor footnote to his day, but something about Ailith catches his attention. Alchemy can be lonely work and an apprentice might be just what he needs.
As their lessons grow into shared experiments, Leofwin wonders if he might even trust her with his greatest challenge. But Ailith can’t forget why she came to the castle.
I was given a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review, all opinions are my own.
WATERSMEET has great world building, a great storyline, and well-developed characters. Ailith is a potter’s daughter, and when she accidentally makes a green glaze that when applied to the pots and when they fired, the pot will not break where the glaze is applied. Ailith goes to Watersmeet to apprentice under Leofwin, The Lord Baron of Watersmeet. Here she learns to control her magic and finds out secrets about Watersmeet that could cost him his life. I loved this book with its many intriguing aspect of magic and Alchemy. I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good tale. I give WATERSMEET 5/ 5 STARS.
