In ONCE IN A LIFETIME Aubrey has had a crush on Ben since High school and during that time she did something that could jeopardize her relationship with Ben. Ben is hired by her uncle to help renovate her bookstore that she took over after her aunt passed away. Being is close proximity to Ben starts a chemical chain reaction between both of them that they have to give in or combust. Aubrey is going around town and checking people off her list of people she has wronged after she has set it to rights. The only one that is weighing heavy on her mind is Ben. If she tells him that she is the reason that he did not have two extra years with Hannah, his now dead wife, it will be the end of their relationship.
Ben is ready to get back to living his life. He knew he will always miss his wife, but he can not always live in the past.He knows that his wife would want him to live on and find somebody new. Aubrey has always interested him, and now he wants her even more. She is not afraid of taking chances. When he agrees to help her uncle to do the renovations, it is just an excuse to be closer to her. This is a story of taking chances and learning to let go of the past., for the future is what you make it to be. The emotional baggage, and trust issue that they have to overcome helped to move the story line long, and helped the character development. I really loved the story of ONCE IN A LIFETIME and I give it 5/ 5 stars. This is a great addition to the Lucky Harbor series.
