FUZZY MEMORIES
Who am I, to say who you are?
For I have forgotten the faces
of the ones I love.
Who am I, to say I know your voice?
For they all cry the same anymore.
Can you tell me, who I am?
For I can’t seem to remember anymore.
My mind has grown fuzzy,
and my vision grown weak.
My voice squeaks when I speak.
Can you help me?
I seem to have lost my way.
People and places have all gone away.
Please, help me find my way?
For where I am at it is dark, and I am alone.
Who are these people?
I do not know.
You say you are my cousin Mary?
For I do not remember you at all.
I think I have a son named Harry,
but I can not recall.
Take my hand and lead me home.
Do I have my shoes on?
I don’t recall.
Please, help me find my way home!
To the people I know, so I will not be alone.
