BOOK REVIEW- RAVEN’S WING BY SHAWNA REPPERT

RAVEN'S WING
Raven struggled to escape the world of dark magic he’d committed to as a bitter young man. Now he must come to terms with both his past and his ancestry. What will be his place in the Three Communities? When he finds himself on the run, trying to find the stolen Ravensblood, the task grows much harder. He must protect the people he has come to care about from the danger of this powerful artifact in the wrong hands, and at the same time prove he is not the thief!

This is the sequel to Ravensblood, an urban fantasy set in an alternate-universe version of the Pacific Northwest. Ravensblood won a Gold Medal in the 2014 Global E Books Awards.

The author’s debut novel, The Stolen Luck, won a Silver Medal in the 2013 Global E Books Awards and a 2014 Eppie.

I was given a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review.

This is book two of this series, and RAVEN’S WING is a rollercoaster of a ride. The characters and storyline are very well-developed. It is a couple of years later after the last book, and Raven and Cassandra are now living together. Cassandra is working for GII(Guardians II), another branch of the guardians, and Raven consults on cases. Raven is being railroaded again, and is being setup for stealing the Ravensblood. He has to go into hiding so he can find out who stole it. Cassandra is working the case, but is suspended along with are friends and family of the Guardians, crafters, and Art community who are loyal to Cassandra and Raven. They know he would not steal the Ravensblood back. The clock is ticking and they must find this person before they force the Ravensblood to recognize them as the new owner of the stone. When this happens all hell will break loose. I loved this story and recommend it to everyone. I give RAVEN’S WING 5/5 stars.
