This is the last book in THE BLOODHOUND FILES. D.D. Barrant will have you questioning all things “reality” with this series. He will have you wondering if you are the one that is actually walking one of those parallel lines and if it is real or could be one of many possibilities. He pushes the boundaries of his world building. He creates likeable characters that will draw you into the story, that wont let you go.
Jace Valchek was a FBI profiler, tracking down criminal, when one night she is ripped from her reality by David Cassius , the vampire head of the NSA. they need her help in tracking and locating a serial murderer of gruesome killings of vampires and werewolves. They have never come across something like this before so they bring Jace to their reality to help. They tell her when she helps to apprehend or kill the one in the murders then they will return her to her reality.
This book starts with Jace in Kansas apparently in her own world. Is it really her world. She has to solve one more case before she can go home, and that case is the case of the Gallowsman. Not everything is as it seems to be. Are friends really your friends, or are they your enemies.
This book still leaves some loose ends, but it is still a good story. I think I read somewhere that he would like to write more to this series. So I give this book a 4/5 stars.
