Evelyn Hill works for Gray Preston’s father Senator Preston, who is trying garner more votes for the upcoming national election. Senator Preston sends Evelyn to try to get Gray’s help in swaying his many NASCAR fans into voting for Senator Preston. Gray wants nothing to do with his estranged father’s campaign.
Evelyn will learn everything she can about race cars and she does not mind getting a little dirty doing it. The more she learns about the sport, the more she learns about the man and she is starting to like what she sees. There is no way their relationship could work with her in politics always working in DC and with him always on the road.
Will there love crash and burn or will it take the checkered flag. I loved this book, with both characters having to let go of some of their emotional baggage. Gray had the most he had to deal with and he was able to grow with the story, So I give it a 5/5 stars.
I always enjoy Jaci Burton’s novels and I am anxiously awaiting the next in this series. It will be released
