I loved The Beast In Him, it was well written with well-developed characters and story line.  Anything Shelly Laurenston writes is a keeper. Smitty or Bobby Ray Smith and Jesse Ann have a past together. They have known each other while growing up. They were friends, and Smitty always came to her rescue when she was picked on and beat up. Now they meet again when Smitty’s company is doing the security for Jesse’s party which she is throwing for her company, in which she is CEO of a security system company.  He wants to be friends again and she does not want have anything to do with him.  Jesse has been in love with Smitty, but when he left town and did not even kiss her goodbye hurt her worse than anything could. Now he has to try to convince her that he wants her, and loves her. I loved all the chaos that Jesse Ann lives in, because she has no privacy or solitude to herself. There is always someone underfoot and it makes or some pretty humorous situations. There are parts where they are being attacked and there is some funny dialogue going on. Be warned  when you read this you will laugh quite a bit, so keep any liquids away from any electronic devices in case you spill your drink while laughing. I give The Beast In Him 5/5 stars.
