Flameout (A Souls of Fire Novel) is the third book in this series. I have not read the other, because I didn’t know it was the third one. I definitely plan to go back and read the others. I loved the characters and story line. They were well-developed and everything flowed seamlessly. Emberly is a Phoenix, and someone is wanting to take away her fire. Without her fire, she will be unable to defeat those infected with the Crimson Death virus or the Red Plague as it is commonly known. In her searches to find the missing witches, she has to find a way to counter the spell that can take her flame. I loved this book and recommend it to everyone. I give FLAMEOUT 5/5 STARS.

URBAN FANTASY – “GENERATION 18” BY KERI ARTHUR

Generation 18 by keri arthur
Book Description
Publication Date: September 30, 2014
COUNTDOWN TO CRISIS

A serial killer strikes every twelve hours. A vampire takes lives at random. At first glance, these tragic incidents seem unrelated. But Special Investigations Unit agents Sam Ryan and Gabriel Stern trace them both back to a military base known as Hopeworth. Is the murder spree part of a cover-up? And are the vampire killings less by chance and more methodical?

The investigation takes an eerie, personal turn when Sam discovers a connection between herself and the victims—and a clue to her own mysterious origins. With the violence escalating and the danger drawing closer to home, the stakes are raised and the mission changes from seeking justice to ensuring Sam and Gabriel’s own survival. And the one person who seems to hold all the answers—about Hopeworth, about Sam’s past—is a mystery man she isn’t sure she can trust. They share a psychic link through her dreams, and he once saved her life, but he may just be the greatest enemy humankind has ever known.

This is a great sequel to MEMORY ZERO. It has a great plot and well-developed characters that work well together to move the story along. When people from Hopeworth start turning up dead, Sam has to find out who is killing them and is she next to be killed? She also talks to a mystery man who tells her when she wants answers to her past she will see them in her dreams and in her heart. He also tells her to look at the pin he gave her if she wishes to find answers.Everything keeps pointing to experiments that produced hybrids named Generation 18 and Penumbra. The military was behind these experiments, and when they had a failure they put them in a home. Is Sam a failure? or success no one knows about? Hopefully these questions and more will be answered in the next book PENUMBRA. I loved this book, with its fast paced action. I give GENERATION 18-    5/ 5 stars. i recommend this series to everyone.

Keri Arthur knows how to weave characters and worlds together to bring to life an Urban Fantasy that will grip you from the very first page. The characters and story line are well-developed. MEMORY ZERO starts off with action from the very first  page, and only gets better as you go to the end of the book. Finding out what happened to her partner gets her into deep trouble. When she gets a message to meet her partner Jack, things go from bad to worse. Somehow has been turned into a Vampire, and when she would not join him she ha to kill him. Now she has people trying to kill her so she will not find out the truth of what is going on. She also has to find out what is going on with herself, for she is not totally human herself as she believed. This was a great read, keeping me on the edge of my seat. I give it 5/5 stars.
