Legacy of the Demon: Demon Novels, Book Eight (Kara Gillian) is the best book yet, in this series. Kara and everyone are now dealing with the fallout of what happened with the last book. Now the world has demons, strange plants, and mutated animals loose in the world. She has to find a way to close the rifts safely and find Jill’s daughter Ashava and Zack. The book starts of with a lot of action, Kara and a group of specialists are trying to catch a demon who has come thru one of the rifts. They also have to close the rift safely to prevent the demons from coming thru that rift. There is practically non-stop action in this book. I could not put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. I have fallen in love with these characters and this world that Diana Rowland has created. The world building has been phenomenal! if you have not started this series, I urge you to run out and get it. Diana Rowland has not disappointed  me yet.  I give LEGACY OF THE DEMON 5/5 STARS.

HUNTED BY DARKNESS  is a great installment in the DARKNESS SERIES.  The characters and story line are well-developed. I love Nyx and Bo!! Nyx has been living with Bo for a while, and Bo wants her for more than a roommate. He wants her for his mate. He doesn’t think he is right for her. Nyx is a Demigod, and when her Mother asks her to do a favor for her, she agrees to do it. She must deliver a package to a grave site at the cemetery, but instead it opens a portal and sucks Bo and her thru. They are thrown into a Hell realm. Now, they must find a way out. During their time in this realm, secrets are reveled.  I love reading Katie Reus. Her writing and her worlds have so much character and depth. If you have not read this book and series, I urge you to read it.  I loved HUNTED BY DARKNESS AND I GIVE IT 5/5 STARS.

REVIEW – OF FLAME AND PROMISE BY CECY ROBSON

weird girls novel
Perfect for fans of Keri Arthur and Bella Forrest, this short novel kicks off a sizzling new series in the award-winning Weird Girls saga as Celia’s sister Taran fights to have it all: independence, hot romance, and enough firepower to torch an army of blood-thirsty supernaturals.

“One of my favorite books series.”—Jessie Potts, USA Today

Cursed by a spell meant to destroy them, Taran Wird and her sisters instead developed unique magical talents. With the power of fire and lightning literally at her fingertips, Taran doesn’t fear much. Demons, vamps, whatever—bring ’em on! Only one thing terrifies her: commitment.

Taran is crazy about her boyfriend, Gemini, a sexy were with the incredible ability to split into two separate wolves. But after watching her sister go through heartbreak with the pack’s Alpha, Taran knows not to count on happily ever after—despite Gemini’s desire to claim her as his mate. Reluctantly, she agrees to meet his very traditional and conservative parents. Taran’s a badass with a mouth to match, and Gemini loves her for it. She’s just not positive these attributes will please Mom and Dad.

Unsurprisingly, every attempt by Taran to bond with Gemini’s folks proves disastrous. But in the end, Taran finds that winning them over means unleashing her powers . . . and proving that this foul-mouthed fire-starter is a force to be reckoned with.

Praise for the Weird Girls series

“So much action, so much violence and, oh, the lust radiating off of our heroes . . . I definitely recommend this series for lovers of all things paranormal and awesome.”—Jessie Potts, USA Today

“[With Cecy Robson’s] edgy, witty and modern style of storytelling, the reader will be drawn deep into this quirky paranormal world. . . . Strong pacing, constant action and distinctive, appealing characters—including a gutsy heroine—will no doubt keep you invested.”—RT Book Reviews

“A healthy dose of humor, a heaping dash of the supernatural, and a pinch of mystery all laced with a heavy dollop of action . . . Robson knows how to combine all the best ingredients to keep her readers hooked and begging for another hit.”—Fresh Fiction

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

OF FLAME AND PROMISE follows Taran’s life. The characters and story line are very well-developed. For those of you that have been following this series, this is Taran’s story not Celia’s. This starts another series that follows her. In the story Taran has powers  that were caused by a cursed spell that was cast on them and went wonky. Taran and her sisters each have different abilities. Taran’s ability is producing fire. Also she can cast true light that destroys their enemies, but it comes at a great cost. Once she casts it, the spell drains her and leaves her vulnerable.  Taran is with Gemini who is part of Aric’s pack. Gemini is a different kind of WERE,he has a twin wolf that can separate from him. Hence the name Gemini.  Taran and Gemini are mates, and Gemini wants to take it to the next level and claim her. Taran is afraid that Gemini, even though he said that he loves her, will not let her go. She has seen it happen with her sister Celia and Aric, even though they are mates Aric cast her aside so he can be with a true  were to keep the blood lines untainted.  Now Gemini wants Taran to meet his parent and that is when everything goes to hell. They are attacked, and she is afraid she will be the cause of Gemini’s parents getting killed. During this time she realizes that she cannot live without him. This book has a lot of action and emotional drama. I love these sister and this series and recommend it to everyone. I give OF FLAME AND PROMISE 5/5 STARS.

PARANORMAL ROMANCE BOOK REVIEW- THE RIPPLE EFFECT BY J.A. SAARE

the ripple effect
Sealing a deal with Heaven is as dangerous as starting a war with Hell.

Rhiannan’s Law, Book 3

Rhiannon Murphy’s homecoming party from a hellish future is more like a violation of her mind, the mining of her memories by her vampire lover, Disco. Now he knows everything that transpired—and her personal life is in shambles.

Yet she has no choice but to push on to sever her debt to Marigold Vesta, the fallen angel who helped her return to her own time. Unfortunately this debt has a short due date, and failing to resurrect Marigold’s soul means Rhiannon must sacrifice her own body—or find a suitable substitute.

Then death comes knocking at Rhiannon’s door. Disco’s maker is in New York with a bone to pick—preferably hers—but he’s not the only one out for her blood. Revenald, Marius’s half-demon creator, is out to bring her to her knees.

Cornered, Rhiannon must turn once again to the fallen angel whose soul she’s trying to save. The penalties may be more than she can bear, but with nothing left to lose, it’s no longer about life or death.

It’s about getting even.

Warning: Content may not be suitable for those sensitive to dubious consent, rape, murder and/or violence. Fasten your seatbelts, secure your tray tables, and pop a couple of Dramamine. This ride is about to get bumpy.

THE RIPPLE EFFECT will take you on a roller coaster ride. Rhiannon is trying to find the resting place of  Marigold Vesta so she can give her necklace back. In the meantime, Marius, DISCO’S SIRE is coming to town. He wants SUCKER the knife that Rhiannon used to kill a half demon. She does not want to give it up, but the choice will soon be out of her hands. When she does not give SUCKER to Marius, his sire Revenald comes to town and this spells trouble for Rhiannon. Someone she loves will be killed and Disco will put everything on the line for her. I loved this book and could not get enough of it. The characters and story were well crafted. I give THE RIPPLE EFFECT 5/5 STARS. I recommend this book and series to everyone.

BOOK REVIEW FOR “GRAVEYARD CHILD” BY M.L.N. HANOVER

Product DetailsThis has been a wild ride of a series. This is BOOK 5 of the BLACK SUN’S DAUGHTER series.

Jayné Heller is host to a powerful spirit calling itself the Black Sun. She is going home after being on her own for years.  She is going for her brother’s wedding and to get answers to how she ended up with the Black Sun in the first place.

She doesn’t remember how she ended up with a tattoo. What really happened to her on her sixteenth birthday? Who really was her Uncle Eric and why did he leave her everything in his will? With these and other questions needing answers, Jayné  arrives home only to be confronted with unexpected guests. The Invisible College is there to stop the ceremony. Only a greater threat awaits her called THE GRAVEYARD CHILD.

This book has a lot of action right from the start. By Jayné looking into her past she is able to overcome her past and accept it. This is a completely different take on the spirit world and vampires and demons.

I give this book a 5/ 5 stars.

If you have not read this series, you definitely need to read it. Here are the books.
