CASSIE
I’m determined to leave my mistakes in the past.
These days I’m back in school, I’m surrounded by my wonderful, crazy family and I’m working for my dad.
Then Curtis Mulligan happens.
A supposedly reformed gang member from the rundown prison town where my folks grew up, Curtis looks like he was built for mayhem.
We have nothing in common.
If he hadn’t taken a job working for my father, our paths wouldn’t even cross.
But I can’t admit that menacing mix of ink and muscle has flipped a switch inside of me.
It’s an impulse I’m determined to ignore.
However, when Curtis turns out to be much more than he seems and steps between me and a bad situation, I wind up owing him a hell of a favor.
And I can’t think of anything but paying him back…

CURTIS
I should have been dead a dozen times over but somehow I’m still here.
I’m grateful for the chance to keep my head down and act like a regular citizen. Screwing up isn’t an option and getting naked with the boss’s daughter is no way to thank the man for a job.
Besides, sweet, clueless Cassie Gentry isn’t the kind of girl I’m used to entertaining myself with. I had planned to keep my hands off even if she begged for it.
But that was before I realized Cassie is much more than a pretty face.
She just might be the girl who can turn me around for good…

TURN is the latest book set in the Gentry world from USA Today and NYT Bestselling author Cora Brent. May be read as a stand alone.

About Cora Brent

Cora Brent was born in a cold climate and escaped as soon as it was legally possible. Now, she lives in the desert with her husband, two kids and a prickly pear cactus she has affectionately named ‘Spot’. Cora’s closet is filled with boxes of unfinished stories that date back her 1980’s childhood and all her life she has dreamed of being an author. Amazingly, she is now a New York Times and USA Today bestselling writer of contemporary romance and begs not to be awakened from this dream.

BOOK REVIEW- “SIREN’S SONG” BY DANA MARIE BELL

siren's song by dana marie bell
Book Description
Publication Date: September 16, 2014
A crescendo of evil could destroy their perfect harmony.

The Gray Court, Book 5

Oberon is well and truly lost, with no memory of who he is, where he came from, or where he’s going. One woman makes his palms sweat and his heart race, a woman with turquoise eyes and a beautiful voice. Instinct tells him she’s the only one who can save him.

Cassie knows the truth—he is the High King, her truebond, the one man born to be hers and hers alone. Restoring his memory and keeping him out of the Black Court’s clutches is her mission, though success means losing him. Yet to give the world back its High King, she will make that sacrifice.

As soon as Oberon’s memory comes crashing back through his mind’s closed door, he makes one vow. Though beset by enemies, chased and attacked, he will return to his rightful place with his Queen by his side.

Except when he makes good on his vow, all hell breaks loose. And when Cassie’s life is threatened, the fae world will bow before the High King or pay the price in blood.

Warning: This title contains explicit sex, graphic language, fishy shenanigans and royal naughtiness.

BOOK DESCRIPTION COURTESY OF AMAZON

I WAS GIVEN A COPY OF THIS BOOK BY NETGALLEY FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.

SIREN’S SONG is a fast paced read, with well-crafted characters and a well-developed storyline. Dana Marie Bell knows how to tell a story.  The High King Oberon of the Gray court has been poisoned and only Cassie can save him with her song. She must find him first, for he has disappeared from the kingdom. Cassie is Princess of the Atlantean court, which is part of the White court. Cassie is also Oberon’s truebond mate. She is currently running from an arranged marriage that her parents had arranged when she was younger. Once Oberon and Cassie become truebond mates, the arranged marriage becomes null and void. This is such a hot and sexy book that it will have you running for a cold shower. SIREN’S SONG has such likeable characters that helps to move the story along.  Dana Marie Bell’s novels are great and I cannot wait until the next one. I give this book 5/5 stars. If you have not read her books, I urge you to run out and get one.

REVIEW FOR “TEMPT THE STARS” BY KAREN CHANCE

Product DetailsIn this book it starts up where the last one left off, where John Pritkin was taken back to the demon world by his father. Now Cassie the Pythia-seer to the supernatural world, tries to break into Hell and bring Pritkin back.  As usual her plans always backfire, and she is running for her life dogging gunfire, being run through with a sword, or tumbling off a building, and being part Goddess does not help at all.  You think it would give you some kind of extra OOMP in your powers.

Especially when you’ve just used your not-so-reliable powers to burglarize the booby-trapped office of a vampire mob boss. That just really sucks. One more note, if you are going to have a party, DON’T FORGET TO INVITE THE WITCHES. They like to party and they get really mad if you forget to invite them.

I really loved this book, it was non stop action and traditional Cassie screw up. She always seems to mess something simple as a break in or a spell up. that’s what you get when you are basically just thrown into your position with no type of training. I guess she got the train as you go plan, she should have upgraded her plan.

I give this a 5/ 5 stars. This is also my 100th post WOOH.

CHECK OUT THESE OTHER TITLES IN THE SERIES.
