I AM THINKING ABOUT A CAREER CHANGE.

Brave1

Since I have been off work, due to knee surgery, I have been contemplation a career change. I work in retail putting up freight for Wal-mart. I have been with them for almost 13 years. The toll of working the freight is causing me to have back trouble and knee trouble. I need to find something less physical. One career that I am thinking about is becoming a Copy Editor. I have been reading up on this field and all that it entails.  My nephew has a friend in publishing that he has been talking to in trying to learn how to get into freelance copy editing. He showed her my blog and she liked what she saw. She really liked the way that I edited the story that I am writing with my sister, HOW TO CATCH A HUMAN.

So now I am asking you for any information and insight into this career. I would like to know, Should I take a course in copy editing or go back to school and get a degree? Any information that you can give me would be highly appreciated. I would like to have as much information that I can before I make a decision.  I know I will have to work at it for a while before I can quite my job and do nothing but copy editing. I just need to do something that is not as physical as what I am doing now. So let me know, What you think about this change? Any and all information is welcome. I have also invested in a few books on the subject to help me with this decision.

Jennifer Estep is back with BLACK WIDOW – out November 25, 2014! Lethal, sexy, and always ready to protect her friends, Gin Blanco (a.k.a. the Spider) takes on the mysterious M.M. Monroe in book twelve of the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series. Let me know if you are interested in featuring.

There’s nothing worse than a cruel, cunning enemy with time to kill—and my murder to plan. With wicked Fire elemental Mab Monroe long gone, you’d think I could finally catch a break. But someone’s always trying to take me down, either as Gin Blanco or my assassin alter-ago. Now along comes the Spider’s new arch-nemesis, the mysteriously named M. M. Monroe, who is gleefully working overtime to trap me in a sticky web of deceit.

The thing is, I’m not the only target. I can see through the tangled threads enough to know that every bit of bad luck my friends have been having lately is no accident—and that each unfortunate “coincidence” is just one more arrow drawing ever closer to hitting the real bull’s-eye. Though new to Ashland, this M. M. Monroe is no stranger to irony, trying to get me, an assassin, framed for murder. Yet, as my enemy’s master plan is slowly revealed, I have a sinking feeling that it will take more than my powerful Ice and Stone magic to stop my whole life from going up in flames.

Jennifer Estep is a New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author prowling the streets of her imagination in search of her next fantasy idea. Spider’s Bite, Web of Lies, Venom, Tangled Threads, Spider’s Revenge, By a Thread, Widow’s Web, Deadly Sting, Heart of Venom, The Spider, Poison Promise, and Black Widow, along with the e-shorts Thread of Death, Parlor Tricks, and Kiss of Venom, are the other titles in her red-hot Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series. Jennifer is also the author of the Black Blade and Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series and the Bigtime paranormal romance series. I’M HOME FROM SURGERY.

The surgery was a success, and I am now home. I had to be there this morning by 8am, but did not go into surgery until close to 12:30pm. The surgery before me was taking longer than they thought. After the surgery I woke up pretty quickly. It surprised the nurses how I was able to put myself into the recovery chair without help. I am now home and in bed watching t.v. with Charlie.CHARLIE HAIRCUT

The only problem I had when I came home was the four steps to get into the house. Let’s just say I will not be doing that again anytime soon. The ride home was good, only a little bit of nausea coming home. I am waiting for pizza to be delivered because I have not eaten anything since yesterday at around 5:30pm. I had a few crackers when I woke up from surgery. Well I will talk to you later. I am going to watch t.v. and relax.

I AM HAVING KNEE SURGERY TOMORROW OCTOBER 31. FINALLY.

knee surgeryI am having knee surgery tomorrow. Finally after about 16 months of being in pain, I will have my knee surgery. I don’t know if I will post anything over the weekend, because I will be recovering. If I feel good on the weekend, I might post. I will see how it goes. I am having to drive out-of-town for the surgery, Then my Mom and Dad are driving me home the same day. It is a same day surgery, which is good. I hate hospitals. I have gone all my life without having any kind of surgery, and this year I have had two surgeries this year. I had one in June for my gallbladder, and now my knee surgery. This is a good thing, because now I can walk without worrying about falling down, because of the instability in my knee.

So as soon as I feel good enough to post, I will start posting more. I might even try to write some up to create a backlog of posts. Hopefully I will be back on my feet and running soon.  I will talk with everyone later.

WHAT BOOK MAKES YOU HAPPY?

There is always one book that we always go to that makes you happy. What book is it that makes you happy? Is it a book from your childhood, or something more recent? Is it a tried and true classic, a romance, science fiction/ fantasy, mystery, or one of the many other genres? Me I guess it depends on my mood. if I want to feel nostalgic about your childhood, I will read GREEN EGGS AND HAM BY DR. SUESS
or PADDINGTON BEAR BY MICHAEL BOND

If it is just a quick pick me up then a funny romance, maybe a book by SHELLY LAURENSTON( G.A AIKEN)
Any of her books always bring a smile to my face.  Also there is EVE LANGLAIS AND HER (f.u.c series) FURRY UNITED COALITION. These are all great books to read. SO TELL ME WHAT BOOK MAKES YOU HAPPY? 🙂
