Friends at work found out that I can fix computers.

computer_repair_clipart_2Here recently friends at work have found out that I know how to work on computers. Several years ago I went to a vocational school and received my A+ certification and network operations diploma for computers. W hen I graduated from there and tried to find a job working on computers I needed to have at least 3 years of experience. At that time I had only had about a year and a half. No matter where I went it was the same thing, and I could not get my foot in the door.

I have done some side jobs here and there through the years, until I became bored with it. I am the type of person that has to have a challenge, and when it is not challenging anymore  I push it aside. Well now people at work have found out that I can work on computers, and have been asking questions. If they can’t resolve the issue they bring the computer to me, and I will fix it for them. This week so far I will have 3 commuters to work on . One of them I was able to fix the problem on my break at work.

The other two I will have to wait and see. I am still waiting for the girl to bring me her laptop. The other computer, I just have try to and speed it up, because it is running very slowly. It probably just needs to clean up some files and defragment the system.  Also at work some of the associates in electronics have been sending customers to me with computer questions if they can’t answer them. I guess I will have to brush up on some of the newer processor speeds, graphic cards and other things for the newer generation of computers. That way I can answer question more effectively. I guess I am the new technical guru at work.

There are some that say “Go ask Jennifer, she knows everything!”

So now they do. I am craving something sweet so I am going to leave you and go raid the German chocolate cake. I will talk with you tomorrow, so good night.
