I was raised for battle. And as the first daughter of a warrior family, I’ve earned my reputation the hard way. Yet now I fight alongside uncivilized male Northland dragons who think a female is only good for breeding and waiting back home in the cave. But it’s the foolish and foolhardy who would try to stop me, Rhona the Fearless, from doing what I do best—destroying the enemies of my kind.So the smartest thing wily barbarian Vigholf the Abhorrent can do for me is stay out of my way as we risk all on a deadly mission in enemy territory. I don’t care if he’s fascinated by me, even though he is as attractive as he is resourceful. He’s having far too much fun putting me in difficult situations and testing my sense of duty to the limit. And I’m going to enjoy challenging his insufferable confidence, outwitting his schemes, and making him surrender in the wildest ways. .
This is a great addition to the Dragon Kin series, with its sarcastic, dark humor will have you laughing out loud . The character development and story line are well-developed. Rhona and Vigholf are great together. Vigholf wants Rhona and has warned the other dragons away from her, but he has not made his feelings known to her yet. Rhona has helped raise her siblings when her mother would go off to battle, all she wants to do is follow in her father’s footsteps and be a blacksmith. Her mother wants her to be a commanding officer like her. this is one of those books that makes you laugh out loud, it has the perfect mixture of humor, sex, suspense and action. It will pull you in and not let you go until you have read the last page. The banter between Vigholf and Rhona is great. I loved reading THE DRAGON WHO LOVED ME, so I give it 5/ 5 stars. I recommend it to everyone to read it and the other Dragon Kin novels.
