We received news today on what caused my Grandmother’s stroke. She has two blood clots, one on the left side of her brain and one on the right side of her brain. One is located in a small vessel. The Doctor was very optimistic in her recovery. He said there was no brain damage, which is really a miracle.
She is talking, moving her left arm, and has felling in her left leg. The Doctor said that they are going to do all in their power to get her up and walking again. They still don’t want to give her any aspirin or blood thinners, because they do not want the clots to move and cause more damage. Their main focus right now is getting my Grandmother stronger so they will be able to later on remove the clots.
This news was a miracle that we needed. It helped lift everyone’s spirits and give us a new hope for tomorrow. We know she is one tough old broad. For an 85-year-old woman she is doing pretty good. Just keep her in your prayers for a full recovery. We want our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother back nagging us.
